The Mix

The Mix has truly created a safe and welcoming corner of the internet where young people can go in their times of need. Their work is invaluable!

I've been a volunteer with The Mix for over a year and its been such an enjoyable experience! I've always felt supported, both while on and off shift, by the amazing team. Also, the training I got before starting as a volunteer made me feel really prepared. Not to mention the fact that there are constantly other relevant training opportunities offered to volunteers. What The Mix does for young people is really valuable - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this organisation to someone interested in helpline volunteering.

I first found The Mix when I was going through really difficult times. They helped me so much.
The work that they do is amazing and they help so many young people through their different services.
The staff teams are lovely and so kind and supportive. It’s nice to be able to give back to a place that helped me be the person I am today.

The Mix is a wonderful organisation that provides holistic support for young people up to 25. Their staff and volunteers are committed to hearing the views of young people to make the services more accessible and to provide a safe space for young people to share their experiences. The Mix are doing a great job!

Been volunteering here for almost 18 months now on the boards and group chats, and I can wholeheartedly say it's such a beautiful community. Always taking on board feedback and comments, always keeping volunteers and users as their priority. Everyone is lovely and everything feels like it will be dealt with fairly if there are ever any issues. Truly lovely and I would be loathe to ever leave this community!

The Mix is a wonderful charity offering support for young people. I have been volunteering with them for almost 5 years now. I can feel the impact I've made after every shift and it's a pleasure to work with such a lovely team!

The Mix is amazing. The discussion board and 1-2-1 chat is an excellent space to share your thoughts and feelings. The staff and members are validating, understanding and make you feel heard.

The Mix is a wonderful charity and has guided my next career steps because I have seen the rewarding nature to this type of work. There are always new opportunities to be involved in particularly in the youth voice team. Youth voice has been particularly great at listening to the voices of people up to (and including) 25 years old and advocating for us both internally and externally. Some of the kindest staff you could meet working towards more diversity and inclusion for all of us but particularly those within marginalised groups. Thank you - team The Mix (p.s. no I was not paid or incentivised to write this review - I am just truly grateful to be a small part of The Mix).

Helpful. Discussion boards, group chat and webchat counselling are the best things. Massive shout out to everyone but especially Aife, Mike, Charlotte (my webchat counsellor- you made school much better for me even if I still get bullied just by chatting to me every Friday for 8 weeks ) and Ed. The Mix is nothing without you. One thing that could be better though is having a chat on Fridays or Saturdays like they used to.
