On our way to visit the Fuller's brewery, we stopped here for a drink and a short break. And what a lovely place we found : the pub is very nice and lovely decorated, but its gem is its terrace ! Full of flowers, trees, plants, it's the perfect place to enjoy your drinks or meals (we didn't try it but the menu has nice dishes - all homemade with locally grown ingredients based on the sign at the entrance). We don't feel like you're in the middle of a big city. Team is very nice and friendly, we'll definitely be back to try the food (and Chiswick is a very nice are btw). Thanks

Went to a wedding here and it was the best wedding I've ever been to. The team was so accommodating, attentive and friendly and the food was the best wedding food I've ever had - everyone agreed! The staff also decorated the venue beautifully - would recommend!

What a place! In summary, superb!
A gem tucked in Hammersmith. A very relaxed pub style setting with high end cuisine. A very unique menu and specials with options rarely available in one place. They had scallops, mussels, cod, halibut and seabass for fish/seafood options. They also offered a whole goose and mallard.

Their wine selection is also very good with high quality wines.

As we are approaching Christmas, the beautiful aroma from the mulled wine was welcoming and equally nice. There was a nice coal fireplace. It was comfortably warm rather than cold or stuffy.
The food was absolutely delicious and the
chef was very accommodating to my gluten free diet.

The service was outstanding. A huge note
of thanks to Anthony and to Basilio who looked after us very well.

Until next time, highly recommended!

Update/second visit

We went there last night, March 10, with full excitement. It started very well with a very lovely cocktail almost made to order.
The starters however were a disaster that is not acceptable.
My husband ordered the Maldon oysters. They came with chopped onions on top. Big mistake. Never ever season the oysters or add anything on top. Let the customers do so. Serve with lemons/shallots with vinegar on the side.
I ordered the grilled mackerels. They arrived black/charcoaled. They smelled burned. I took a bite and they were non-edible bitter burned. This was replaced but how could a decent chef send a dish with such quality to the table. The justification was an insult “the chef put them on the grill and went downstairs to bake the bread” !!!
Seriously???

The mains “chicken supreme with truffles” were absolutely divine.
The side that we ordered, salad and the broccoli were also good.

So mixed feelings at the moment whether to go back or not.

Fantastic food in a wonderful local pub. Excellent service from Zaina, who was able to walk us through the menu and wine list. The log fire was a welcome addition on a cold winter's night too.

We enjoyed our dinner very much at The Carpenter's Arms. The food was fabulous and our server Zaina was so friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere on a cold January night. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful pub and a dreamy garden! I love the rustic/barn vibe of the decor with beautiful plants all over. The service was really friendly and the all over atmosphere relaxing. Perfect place for a romantic date or a get together with friends. Haven't tried the food yet but it's on my to do list. Definitely recommend this independent pub for a nice relaxing time. 🤗🤗🤗

I have waited for some time to write this review.
After a poor experience sometime ago, which I reflected in my review, I have returned several times this Summer and early Autumn both lunch and dinner.
Food was again fresh, unpretentious and tasty. Size could be bigger but very good.
Service is nice but needs a bit of fine tuning - will get there I think.
Atmosphere was great as ever,
All in all I am glad to see one of my favourites places back on track.
Well done guys

Visited first time following a recommendation of our friends. Environment is nothing exceptional, service is great but what is beyond expectation is the dish served. We would certainly recommend to visit, especially when the garden is open as inside venue can be quite loud.

Food experience is worth the not very low price tag (4 people, starter + main + 2 drinks each = £210) which is nowadays nothing surprising.

We will be back, thank you! :-)

This is a truly outstanding little gem tucked away near beautiful St Peters Square. We had an amazing dinner with our teenagers. The food was delicious, creative and seasonal. And the welcome and service from Louise and Walid were exceptional. We have previously booked the private room upstairs for a dinner for 12 which was a wonderful and memorable evening. Can't wait to return! Rob and Charlotte

Amazing atmosphere, extremely friendly staff which they told us little bit about history of that pub which was super interesting. Nice to see staff who is truly engaged with the place they working. They showed us old pictures how that pub looked before and how it changed during that time. Amazing additional entertainment.

I absolutely love the carpenter’s arms. The food, atmosphere and service are exceptional. I have dined in the garden and the dining room on countless occasions very happily, and I recently had a birthday party there using their private dining room, and the experience was beyond anything that I could have ever hoped for. They went above and beyond to make it a special evening. The food was amazing, the service was warm and flawless and the room was gorgeous. It is a truly lovely place.
