Kings Convenience Store

This place has changed a lot from what it was a few months ago.I had given up collecting my parcels from there.They now have new staff who are very respectful and patient. The elderly rude man was fired and l was happy to hear that. It is now so much better with the new staff. I collect my parcels there often and it is a much more pleasant experience. The guys and lady are patient and will look for your parcels without complaint. The customer service has greatly improved.

Excellent prices cheaper than neighbouring shops. I collected the parcel but went during the school times. Was told politely to come later after the school time.

Clean spacious store and and very helpful and understanding man when collecting my parcel. Friendly store . I give it 5 stars. Will be visiting again.

I collected a parcel not long ago and they were nice and polite to me. I only post this because I see all the negative posts and I wanted to share my experience!

Jimmy assaulted me, falsely accusing me of shoplifting, then proceeding to absolutely KO me with a left jab to the stomach. Amazing service.

Excellent service and great prices. Everything price marked cheaper than other local shops.

So..I live locally and normally don't like going in there for the reason of the older shopkeeper but this shop is the most convenient. Anyways.. the young guy who works there is helpful. I had collect/send parcels from there. He told me there isn't any space at the day i came but if I return next day he can take it as they will be collecting then. Fair enough. He helped with my parcel that was to be delivered, I only had a code and he found it.
On the other hand, the older guy( shopkeeper) he yelled at me once when I was trying to collect the parcel without a code. He told me he can't help me. When I explained I don't have an email with me, he said it's not of his business. Then I said it should have been your business to know how to help customers since you're the owner. He ignored me. I had to return with a code the day after but then I had to deal with a woman. She's okish.
The other day I had to collect parcels from there, the old guy was there. He gave me one parcel and said the other isn't there. Really , really strange... how bizarre. The info from my email states it is there. I'm going to check again. Hope the young guy is there.

Awful customer service. Don’t get your parcel their the guy on the desk will make you work for him for free

AVOID!! Horrendous treatment today when trying to drop off a Yodel parcel and pick up some snacks. I was blocked from entering the store by the rudest shopkeeper who passive aggressively ignored me, then told me that I would need to come back later whilst he dealt with a delivery. I wouldn't have minded this if (1) he had been nice about it and (2) I hadn't walked for 25 mins to get there. I would have happily waited the 5 minutes it would have taken to unpack his small delivery.

As others have said the guy who serves you is very rude. Started shouting at me when I went to collect a parcel and said I had the wrong shop, he then started looking at his phone and ignoring me. Had to argue with him to tell him it was the right shop, he then started serving other people and eventually he rudely asked for ID and after showing me several parcels with someone else's name not even close to mine, found my parcel. Avoid like the plague, I would give it zero stars if I could

Literally the worst experience I have ever had in a shop. Absolutely do not use this shop to get a parcel delivered, the man behind the till is beyond rude and dishonest. He will try to scam you by doing everything in his power to keep your parcel.
Had to return to the shop several times because he was pretending not to have my parcel and when he finally found it I had to stand in the shop for 25 minutes while he served every single customer that set foot in the shop during that time. When I gave him my phone to scan the barcode, he started going through my email, absolutely unbelievable! And then refused to give me my parcel.
This shop is the reason why google should allow 0 star reviews.

I picked up a parcel from here and when I tried to give the man behind the counter my barcode. He straight up shouted and barked at me saying it wasn't right and he would not accept it and shoved me aside to serve another customer. I literally had to reason with him to accept my code. I gave some ID and then for some reason he accepted my barcode and gave me my parcel. For such a simple transaction he made it unnecessarily unpleasant, long-winded, stressful and awkward. The staff or whoever is running this corner shop seriously need some basic people skills that every functioning adult has managed to achieve. There are plenty of corner shops in this city, I think we can afford to lose this one if the staff continue to speak to customers like dirt. Utterly disgraceful, avoid this place at all cost if you can.

Applogies for interrupting your movies so you can fulfil a service you voluntarily offer. Whipped my phone out of hand for proof, even though if given him the code and my ID. Walked off with ID. Found package, then started to serve people who came in after me. After 2 people who came in after me were served I interrupted as he is standing there with package and my ID. He finally scans the package. Fails to return ID and I have to ask for again for it back. General attitude one of inconvenience that he had to do anything. 2nd time I've had this experience, I'll be sending packages to the premier in drop box opposite from now on.

Do not use this shop for Collect +. The shopkeeper I met yesterday said he was too busy to help me, so asked that I return at another time. I did not think that this was unreasonable, as the store was quite busy when I first went. I also understand stress can sometimes have an impact on professionalism, so was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I returned today and met the same shopkeeper, who took my phone out of my hand to check the barcode (which I thought unnecessary) and similarly snapped my ID out of my hand to check my name.

I usually make a point of shopping instore when I use the Collect + service, because that is the primary incentive for shopkeepers to become Collect + delivery locations. I did not shop here today. I would recommend that this shopkeeper take themselves off the Collect + list, because clearly it does not suit their business. I have given similar feedback to Collect +.

Awful experience trying to pick up a parcel here, rude and unhelpful. Although the courier had delivered it and informed me it was there, they had signed for it and I could see it in the store, the owner insisted I had to have a pick up code before they could give it to me. I spent the next day trying to get through to DHL, finally managing to speak to them to be told the problem was that the store hadn’t scanned the parcel into the system and so no pick up code could be generated. I went back, I explained, they tried but failed to scan it ….etc, etc. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DELIVERED HERE!

Very rude man serving there when I went to collect my parcel he got angry because he had to get up and look for my parcel. He was also looking at my up and down like a piece of meat. Felt very uncomfortable

Terrible experience. Zero should be the accurate score given to this so unhelpful, rude, agressive person behind the till. Made me wait for ages. Kept saying he didn't have my parcel even if I had proof of delivery on my phone. He violently grabbed my phone to read my email while eating snacks and licking his fingers ... How safe in COVID time. Total nightmare.
