Lovely place to go for a quiet walk in the woods. If you're brave like us, you can wander off the track a little way, too. It was great to see the play park open for the children and a refreshments van serving hot and cold drinks. It's a little sad that it's pay to park, but I guess that's like most other recreational areas now. It's worth a visit but perhaps not for the mobile restricted of us as it can be a little uphill depending on your chosen walk. Have fun!

A great place to walk, ride your mountain bike or take your dog for a walk. Sign posts are doted everywhere so you won’t get lost.

Toilets are located near the car park, as well as a field where you can have a picnic. There is also a small play area for the kids.

The place has lots of space for parking. There is a pay and display machine which wasn’t working but you can use your RingGo app with starting price at £2.16 for two hours.

Great place to let the kids run around, or have a little play in the play areas. Lots of places to build dens, to have a picnic. Paths well signposted so easy to follow while wondering. Toilets are near the car park and they are kept clean, and a little Caffè also near the car park, has a great selection of snacks and drinks to keep everyone happy. Definitely a great place to enjoy the day and enjoy the nature

Very easy walk but very hilly so make sure you are prepared.

There is a larger walk here but if you walk down the right path then turn left at the cross you will do about 2 miles.

Really easy and really lovely scenery.

Would recommend for families with children as at the end there is 2 child play areas as well as an open space for picnics or running around.

Parking is affordable but car park gets busy.

There is a public toilet and when we went a cart selling drinks.

This is a very nice part of the forest, cool areas for kids to play, picnic area and great for walking pooches. The walking trails here are not that long, well they can be made longer if you go off the beaten path and add your own route options. We were walking for about three hours+ thanks to a rather big detour which included a stop for a pint. 👍

Lovely walk, carpark was £1.80 for two hours, had plenty of parking. There are lots of different trails to take so lots to explore, fantastic place to take your dogs, kids or if you just want a nice walk.

This time of year the small creek is dry but loads of shade and fresh places to sit and walk. Dogs all over the place, so it's a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend for walks and picnics with both kids and dogs. The car park is paid but the money goes to keeping the place looking good as it is right now.

A fantastic December walk along the trails in Forest of Bere. Well signposted carpark with pay and display. Handy food and drinks van in the West Walk carpark serving a good range of coffees and tea as well as hot foods.
Off along the trail there were plenty of dog walkers and young families taking advantage of a crisp December walk out in the fresh air. There were lots of different routes to take and all was well managed with well trodden pathways and none too waterlogged. A great few hours out in the sunshine and definitely somewhere to return to in the future. If this has been useful, please like 👍🏻 😃

Lovely circular walks a nice mix of hard standing to dirt paths. In the spring there are carpets of bluebells

I love walking here, although the pay to park system needs looking at. The card machine works via solar panel and internet and due to the location it doesn't work well at all, the Ringgo app failed for me and others trying to pay due to the internet signal being poor in the forest. Tried to call with location pin and that didn't work either. Take plenty of change, the coin machine was rejecting change when trying to pay that way.
Saying that the refreshment van is amazing and the toilets are relatively clean and all work. The trails are great lots of wildlife, butterflies, bees, beautiful bluebells this time of year. Park area is great for all ages, some great tree climbing opportunities for older kids and den building areas.

Beautiful walking area, clear walking routes, play area for kids and plenty of parking. Shame we missed the coffee stop but we'll be back again .

Great gravel track to follow with a number of different routes. Easy going for families with a play area at the car park, dog friendly walks.

I love taking my dog Milo here for a walk, he loves it and depending on the route we take we can be out a while. Gravel paths all around which is good when the weather is wet. There is a really well made children's play area for small children and one for bigger kids as well. Parking fees are reasonable and there is usually enough space for everyone. There is often a mobile coffee van there, the prices are a little steep for certain things but at the end of the day they do come out of their way to provide their service. The main issue with dog walking around here is there are only two poo bins in the whole place, one near the carpark and one in the center.

Had a great afternoon out with my son and grandchildren at Forest of Bere, what a beautiful place,, loads of entertainment for children, dog friendly,, lovely woodland walks,,, very good for your wellbeing and if you need to get all the energy out of your children,,, also there is a well stocked food van,, which I would recommend too.
So if your bored and cannot think of anything too do,, pop and visit the forest,, you will not be disappointed. 👍😀

Great place for a walk and and a little coffee from the little cantine. Make sure you have change for the parking and the coffee. My main complain would be the lack of accepting card payments for either.

Lovely place for the kids to play and lots to discover.

A beautiful place for a walk, I can always happily spend an hour or two in the forest.
Dog friendly, plenty of opportunities for kids to get wet and muddy, and some decent play equipment too.
Usually there is a mobile coffee and refreshments vendor near the carpark for the West walk entrance.

This was my first visit here, despite living fairly close, and I'm so chuffed to have finally found it. What a lovely place to walk! There's plenty of parking (you need to pay but prices are reasonable; £1.80 for 2 hours), as well as a good few picnic tables and benches scattered around. We took our 6 month old in her buggy and while she may have gotten a bit less shaken around in her sling, we walked a long way on the paths with her buggy. Some routes were not accessible with the buggy but plenty were. There are play parks for older children and the whole area looked very clean and family friendly. Dogs are welcome too, though please use a lead until you're further from the car park and picnic areas. There's also a snack bar serving hot and cold food (think bacon baps, coffee, crisps etc). I'll certainly be back here with friends in the summer!

Some great trails and really good day out for the family. You can safely explore off the trails and there are lots of dens that have been built. Parking is good and not too expensive. Great couple of hour out and perfect for a picnic.
