We only came for an overnight stop to spend some time with family that were staying for a few days, they have a campervan. Lovely site. Perfect for our first trip camping with 3 kids, 11/10 & 2. Turned up around 1sh. Parked up and went and checked in. Given a little pack to show us where our pitch was, toilet blocks and other places on site. We drove round to where we were staying, parked in our designated space. There are trolleys for you to use to take your stuff to your pitch. Popped the tent up and explored. Everyone was friendly. Staff and other campers. Will definitely go back.

This was our 1st visit to Rookesbury but it certainly won't be our last.
An immaculately kept site, with an easy drive to Portsmouth.
We even nipped to the Isle of Wight for the day.
There's a Country Park next to the site, so that's been great too.
We've run out of time on this trip but we're fortunate to be able to see Queen Elizabeth II (aircraft carrier), as she was in port the day we visited.
We can't wait to come back.

We recently stayed for a two nights and we were very impressed with the site. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the facilities were spotless and had everything you need. Great location too. We will definitely book again.

Rookesbury was very accomodating to our college. We have stayed on the campsite now two years in a row so we had accomodation for the Junior Leaders' Field Gun Competition. The site is great due to the close location and wonderful facilities. The couple who we have been in contact with have been so lovely and really made our students welcome. The campsite itself is close to the facilities and has spacious pitches. The students really loved staying at site. Thank you so much!

Lovely site - very warm welcome and easy check in. Large pitches, great facilities for dogs and kids. Very clean and warm shower block. Chippy van on Friday night was a great bonus - bit pricey but excellent quality and good portions. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic!!!! Great spacious site with good-sized pitches with plenty of space in between each one.
Facilities were well maintained and lovely & clean. Plenty of attention to detail here with some great little touches around the site itself, including a very well stocked shop, dedicated kids' park, and dog exercise field. Different evenings offered different food vendors on site, which was a nice touch. Plus, entry onto Rookesbury Estate Woods right from the site where you could walk to local village and/or local pubs.
ALL the wardens were super friendly, very helpful, and always happy!! Would definitely return!!
Highly recommended.

Spacious campsite with large pitches that are well spaced out. Good showers etc - nice to have a shower where you can control the temperature and don't have to keep pushing the button!

Good info room and friendly welcome. Good walking and biking routes directly from the site. About 2 miles through Woods and along a railway path to Wickham which is lovely.

Only downside is that the WiFi is very unreliable... but at least it was free!

This is a really lovely site. One of the best! All the wardens super friendly and helpful. Reception is stocked up with food essentials and ice lollies. A must while we were there for 6 nights with temperatures in the 30's!
Good pitch sizes and space between, excellent dog exercise field, where Barney met lots of new friends and ran his little socks off. Shower blocks up to usual club high standards, never crowded. Food vendors on site most nights. All in all fantastic stay, will be back!

Big site but kept immaculately clean. Two facilities blocks and if one is closed for cleaning, you can use the other one.

Site was almost empty on arrival, all pitches seemed very generous. At the weekend nearly full but never seemed overcrowded or noisy. We have been here several times now and with recent improvements it has become even better. All the site staff were friendly and approachable, really pleasant week!

Fabulous site. We are members but first time to this site. Will definitely be back. The welcome was so warm (even when being checked in through a window due to covid !). Chap was very informative and enthusiastic about the site and area. The facility block couldn't have been more clean. Lovely temperature controlled showers (my hubby hates the one temperature ones as too hot).
Pitches kept to a great standard. Lovely walks local and not far into Wickham where we walked daily. Fish and Chip van on Friday's was yummy and Burger van on Saturday. Would highly recommend this site.
(If you have a dog you will need a tick remover of going on walks) xx

Very welcoming wardens. Beautiful, well tended site. Beautifully landscaped but still natural woodland setting with lovely touches including freshly growing garden herbs clients are invited to pick & use in their cooking. Excellent, spotlessly clean facilities. Excellent large pitches including hard standings as well as grass pitches. Very quiet site off a long, winding drive which is narrow in places with passing points.

Lovely campsite clean and tidy. Pitches are a generous size. Shower / toilet blocks cleaned every afternoon. Staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We forgot to take some rice with us for our homemade curry, shop on site and they had some microwave rice as we didn't have a microwave they offered to cook the rice for us when we were ready, So we still had our curry as planned. Friday's and Saturday's they have food vans on site so you can buy fish & chips, burgers etc. A lovely walk on bridleway near a river / old railway that takes you into Wickham Square approximately a 40min walk, a co-op for shopping, several pubs one called the Kings Head has a beer garden who are dog friendly too. HSB is sold here which my other half was pleased about. There's a little tea room for sandwiches and yummy cakes. Well worth a stay, We will definitely be going back.

Lovely big site, nicely laid out with a good choice of large pitches. Feels very spacious. Well stocked shop. Nice walk into Wickham through the forest and along the disused railway line. Big dog walking field on site too.

Nice site. Good team. Shame that some guests make their life harder by not following basic guidelines both Covid related and via simple personal hygiene and respect for others. I.e how would you like to find the toilet when you use it? Well kept site, dog wash, bike wash, lots of amenities such as washing machines and dryers. Would come back. PS nice walk down into Wickham from the site takes 45 minutes.

Perfect site for early ferry at Portsmouth with pitches you can leave your caravan hitched up and no barrier for an easy get away.
