Noodle Zone Restaurant

We had a family meal for 7 tonight. The restaurant is very welcoming with a lovely warm atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely fantastic and great value for money. The portions are big! We will most definitely be back!

Takeaway food was not only reasonably priced and good value, but it was sublimely delicious! I really recommend the chef’s special Assam salmon, gorgeous flavours and spices. The people were so friendly and helpful and even helped me carry my order to my car.

Opened by a young Malaysian couple, this restaurant serves authentic Malaysian and Asian food ranging from Char kuay teow to nasi goreng. Service is friendly and portions are generous! Dishes all had at least 5 king prawns in them.

Would personally recommend the char kuay teow and milk tea. Will be back!

We happened upon this restaurant on Christmas Eve without a booking but were welcomed in. The food was SO good and the service was impeccable - one of those lucky finds and will now eat here whenever we're in Colchester. Excellent choice of both meat and vegetarian dishes and the tofu was really good.

Great food, presented well and good portions. Great value for money. Best Chinese I've had in Colchester, plus some great dishes from east Asia mixed in.

Had the most delicious food last night. Everything was cooked beautifully, the meats very tender, the veg very fresh and crisp, the honey pork was devine I could eat that for days. Beef rendang was new to me but I'll for sure have that again, absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. Portion sizes were very generous. 10/10

Absolutely the best quality vegetarian food. Freshly prepared and cooked huge variety of quality vegetables. Would recommend the tempura asparagus as starter.

We keep returning here and will keep doing so again. They do a very reasonable lunch deal and if you don't want to walk into town, or take a bus, you can finish (if you want) within the 30 minutes that you can park outside (if there is a space). The takeaways are just as good and all the family like to see what there is to eat here. The service is friendly and I see us returning over and over again.

I started with the Hainan Chicken Rice, a dish that's notoriously hard to perfect, but Noodle Zone nailed it. The chicken was tender, and the accompanying sauces were spot on.
The Laksa soup was a revelation. The aromatic blend of spices and creamy coconut milk created a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The Char Kway Teow was another standout - perfectly wok-fried noodles with just the right amount of smokiness and a medley of fresh ingredients.

The staff are incredibly friendly and well-versed in the menu, offering great recommendations based on personal preferences. I was so impressed with the foods and customer's services so I went again there.
This time, I opted for the Pad Thai and it was an absolute masterpiece. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with a balanced medley of flavors that danced on my taste buds. The portion size was generous, leaving me happily satisfied.

My husband, our 10 year old daughter, and we came on a Tuesday evening. We chose the set menu as we were on a budget. We had the crispy duck starter, I had the beef Thai red curry, my husband had the pad Thai, and my daughter had something that wasn't on the menu, but they were very accommodating. My daughter had plain prawns and steamed rice. Excellent service, and the food was amazing. With drinks and the set menu for 3, it came up to £56.20. We will definitely return. Thank you

Greatly surprised with the delivery version of the laksa, which comes in separate containers (one for broth, the other for noodles, vegetables, tofu and chicken).
Flavour was exceptional too, I'm definitely visiting the restaurant next time.

Delicious food and great service! The Malaysian curry mee is very hearty, full of flavor ! Coconut rice is delicious just like the nasi lemak rice back home in Malaysia. Definitely returning !

I usually try in all the Asian restaurants their Tom yum soup, their soup 🍲 is good and had chicken batter fried with sweet sauce also recommended. An Indian girl was serving us and she made sure everything was fine during our dining. Well done!

We’ve had a great meal at a great price but the highlight of our evening was the nicest service anyone could ever ask for!! Our waiter was the nicest person ever! Thank you so much!
