First time coming here after hearing really good things. The food was delicious, good portions and well presented. The atmosphere was lovely; nicely decorated, clean and cosy. The service was a bit slow and was awhile until we ordered food but the staff were kind and friendly and I think it was only a bit slow due to being a few days before Christmas and quite busy. I look forward to going back to try other things off their menu. Highly recommend.

British Pub with lovely food and atmosphere, friedly for animals as well, really enjoy. They've got gluten free and vegetarian menu. A little bit cold inside and the menu is overpriced unfortunately but not that bad.

Pun a with an ideal location, beer garden and areas of privacy.
The food was easy to order and it came out at a good temperature to start eating with burning your self or having to complain to the manager it’s not warm enough. It was not busy when I arrived but the staff reasonably happy to assist when they are available.
I would call this a country pub. There sis a car park at the rear but you can park to park in the street if you can find any space.

Had a fantastic meal here recently with a friend. The menu was varied, fairly priced and portions were of generous size. I had the sea bass which was delicious. The waitress poppy was very attentive, polite and couldn't do more for us. Will definitely return in 2024

The Swan and Dog in Great Chart is a gem. Staff are super friendly, the food is tasty and well-priced, and it's got a lovely laid-back vibe. If you're looking for a quiet pint and a bite to eat after a walk, it's the perfect spot – definitely beats the bustle of Singleton Barn (Which is still a good pub too)

Absolutely amazing service! Impeccable food and a great treat. Booked very late during the day and had a lovely table, the 3 members of staff who I saw were polite, friendly and helpful. Definitely be back!

We dined here with friends on a Friday night (pre-booked)and what a lovely local pub in Ashford it is.
The staff were attentive, friendly and informative on their menu when questioned.
Or meal choices did not disappoint.
The chilli beef ( not hot) nachos for starters were amazingly tasty and a large portion, enough for two really. The lightly fried brie was nicely crunchy and the cheese melted on the tongue, side salad was fresh.
Our mains of 3 belly porks were amazing, laid on a bed of deliciously creamy mash and green cabbage, topped with the wonderful crackling. Our friends agreed who'd chosen the same .
I had scampi, chips, fresh salad and homemade slaw which again was very nice.
Dessert for 2 people was a chocolate brownie and ice-cream...yum! Didn't need it after the the two courses but was a naughty treat. Sorry no pic, but our friends devoured it quickly and said it was moist and chocolatey and the combination was fantastic.
All washed down with various tipples.
We'll definitely return. Great pub.

Went here for dinner, great food! We brought along with us the dog and he sure enjoyed it too! Great staff, great meals. Highly recommended

Stopped here as I was walking in rhe local area, met by a friendly member of staff who served me a lovely cold pint and some very well cooked chips
There is plenty of seating inside, however, as it was a lovely day, I sat outside in the sun and enjoyed watching the village life..
A lovely traditional English countryside pub.

16 of us visited today for lunch. The food was so good! We were all served in quick time and all thoroughly enjoyed our orders. I will definitely pay a visit again.

Christmas day lunch has been wonderful here today... First of all the food, staff and atmosphere were all perfect and secondly the amazing responses to all my questions, changes in people and orders and other things that came up were just so quick and considerately done. The whole team made a stressful Christmas so much better for us.

My dad and myself were greeted with a warm friendly welcome..beer was good and the fish and chips was excellent..and good value..will definitely go back

Glad we found this place, very friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs. The food was really nice especially the vegan meatless meatballs , that sauce was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We visited at lunch time the staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. We found the selection on menu to be wide and appealing , both my husband and I chose the scampi the homemade tartar sauce sounded and tasted amazing we weren't disappointed. The chips were too big for me personally they were huge ! I struggled to finish them the scampi however was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. Great price and portion size definitely go again.

Popped in for late lunch early supper . Brilliant place to eat food was amazing. Quick service friendly staff . Differently a place to re visit .

Was in here today with my wife for the first time while staying down near here av to say what a lovely pub and the staff so welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing would give 10 stars if I could and the owner was a northerner like my wife had great laugh and time ta very much c u soon
