Have been visiting the pub for many years but never reviewed it. A great place to stop for a drink (they brew their own beers), for a quick grab or for a nice meal in their pub area or restaurant area. Their menu changes regularly (while they have a core pub menu), with special tasting events (dishes paired with wines). The field at the back of the pub is perfect for the kids to play football. Overall, one of my favourite places in the area.

This is a lovely place for a meal and a drink. Really nice atmosphere, staff look after you but not overly intrusive. Food is amazing, perfect sized portions and tasted amazing.

Giving the full 5 stars today. We’ve eaten here before and the food is always incredible. Today was no different (I can’t stop thinking about the braised beef and the sticky toffee pudding!!). This is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The staff are welcoming and attentive and thought about our needs with a 2 year old. The pub was clean throughout. I can’t fault our experience here at all. Thank you for a wonderful meal, I hope we can come back soon!

Food was amazing a great drink selection. We stayed overnight in our campervan and the staff couldn't be more welcoming. Thank you 😊

This is an absolutely hidden gem and probably one of the best countryside pubs I have ever been to. It has the history behind where the ceiling of the building was lower. Although it has extended ever since to the back and can tell how much the owner has preserved this building. Food was absolutely fantastic! My wife had the homemade soup and it was done to perfection and we shared the Camembert cheese - so delicious creamy and the sides came with it was just exquisite!
The main was also cooked to its finest. Never ever I thought the dishes were made into very detail! I am pretty sure the Sunday roast here would be awesome, will come back here in the future when I come to Ashford area.

Absolutely amazing roast dinner today. Service was top notch. (Tommy) went above and beyond for our very loud table.
Highly recommend

Managed to get a table for my husbands birthday today and we were not disappointed. Family feast for four and were all big eaters. Food was just amazing and a perfect amount. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Arrived here to a lovely looking pub! We started off with the tapas for a starter and all I can say is wow it's like a Spanish fiesta on the tongue of incredible quality loved it especially the prawns!! Then for main I opted for the burger and well I'd of got up and done a dance on the table was magnificent! Succulent meat and the onion rings were bloody gorgeous! Highly recommended and tip of the hat to the chef and waiter/waitresses! 👍🏻🕺

Reserved a table for 2 here late on Sunday afternoon before restrictions lifted and we could sit inside again. Weather was rainy so we ended up in the marquee which was a bit of a shame as we booked here mostly for the views from the garden and although the marquee had windows it's not really the same thing but couldn't be helped. Our topside beef roast and steak and ale pie arrived in pretty good time considering they were pretty busy and were very tasty although the pie was a bit on the small side. The vegetables were excellent, actually properly seasoned and flavourful. Fantastic desserts also, fairly generous sticky toffee pudding and wonderful banana cookie dough. We had our dessert in the covered "terrace" area which consists of about 5 bench style tables under a covered pergola with heaters above. Much nicer than the marquee as the weather had improved by then. Not the cheapest meal ever but certainly good value for money and well worth it for a treat. Would definelty recommend and come back if we were ever in the area.

Really cheerful service! Great fresh juice and the tapas were divine (I'm sorry I ate it all before I remembered pictures 😂). Had my first Sunday roast and they accommodated my dairy and gluten free restrictions. My husband had the full works and we both enjoyed our Leg of Lamb. They organized a high chair and some potato for our little one. Would return!

Had our work Christmas party here in the private room to the side. Lovely set up, private bar and food selection was good. We had a buffet, which was all delicious.

Lovely pub. Nice outdoor space, with some covered areas offered. Usually a good selection of drinks, however hadn't received the IPA in the delivery, which is what my husband likes to drink. We had fish finger sandwich & chicken & chorizo ciabatta. Food was fantastic, we had the garden/lunch menu. Some lovely countryside walks around the area to boot. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, food was delicious but the staff were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were friendly and approachable. Just wish it was a little closer to home.

I've driven past the farriers arms for decades and not had the chance to stop. What a mistake! We went here with some friends and had a fabulous evening. Everything about our visit was superb. The building, staff and food were a pleasure! Service was prompt and we were checked on unobtrusively. I wouldn't hesitate to return and can heartily recommend it to all.

Stopped for a random lunch on way down to Dungeness today and very glad we did. Lovely old pub with several ales on and also their own brewed 1606 which was very good indeed. Wife’s breaded periperi chicken was light and delicious while my scampi in a basket at half the plate price was just the perfect amount. Even though we did not push the boat out on lunch I would expect that if you did, you would not be disappointed. Nice to see a pub brewing its own ale too! Lovely all round and nice garden.
