Tasty homemade cakes and flavored tea. The half timbered building looks amazing from both inside and outside. It's a cozy place to relax and have yummy cakes with friends. Highlight of our day trip in Canterbury. I would definitely love to visit again.
Their chocolate cake is definitely worth it. The price is quite reasonable. I loved their rose sencha green tea.

saved this place ever since I saw Sharla in Japan’s video and I LOVE this place. We had Darjeeling and oolong tea and a toasted tea cake, they were lovely.
The staff were very friendly as well, it’s just so cozy inside.
Will definitely come back and try their afternoon tea!

Brilliant customer service, and a super accommodating team. I went there on a date with my partner, and the wait staff were extremely helpful for two people unfamiliar with the teas. Whilst the prices are a little more expensive than some other places, the plates were piled high with food (we couldn't finish our meals), and the flavours were superb, with plenty of options to choose from. The quality is high, and it makes the price worth it. An overall wonderful experience and I will certainly be coming here again!

What a lovely little find. Lots of what you’d want and expect from a tea room but also, more! The selection of coffees is almost as impressive as the teas. Staff were so polite, friendly and attentive, a quirky building and due to the location of the building was a perfect place to cool down in this beautiful English summer we are having.
Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place! The tea and cake are both excellent. I’m specially amazed by Blue Lady, it’s with special aroma, elegant, not too floral , we bought some bags back home. The hostess is also very kind and patient for introduction. Here would be the reason for me to come back 😊

A genuine old-fashioned tea room where service and good food are still the most important thing.
The tea is loose-leaf in a pot with proper cups and saucers. The food looked and tasted top notch.
A lovely experience.

A must-visit place in Canterbury! I am not a big fan of scones in general but their scones are the best ever… would love to visit again.

On a diet? Come here when you finish!!! Charming little tea room, with an excellent selection of homemade cakes. I can also recommend the baked potatoes. An unrivalled list of tea varieties, but the English Breakfast variety was fine for me. There is now, along with the upstairs seating, a small outside garden to eat in. Entrance is via the shop next door, but the staff in the tea rooms will escort you.

We were out walking around the city and discovered The Moat Tea Rooms due to the amazing looking selection of home made cakes in the window as we walked by. We popped in for a lovely lunch - omelette for my friend and an egg and salmon salad for me....we purchased some cakes to take away. Mine was a lovely home made carrot cake. The staff were very friendly and the selection of teas available is quite something. Make sure you visit !

Warm scones, clotted cream and Frank Sinatra playing in the background... Just a dream!!! We have been there last summer, you were about to close but you let us sit anyway, as a result, the tea room all for us❤! It was definitely worth it!! The best scones and clotted cream we have ever tasted and the place is lovely! Thank you and sorry for the late review.
