Union Viet Café

I can not share this place with enough people. I am from the US, but if anyone even nears London they must visit Union Viet for a Bahn Mi. I have had them all over the world but the fresh lite baguette and perfectly spiced broth they serve along to dip the sandwich with is what anyone could wish for on a typical London day and I’d have to claim the best Bahn Mi abroad.
I also ordered their lime lychee crush which is the lychee combination I wish every bar would have on their menu! I added a shot of rum to mine! Super kind staff and very inviting cozy spot to eat in!

There was so much on the menu I wanted to try. Had the vegan pho with poached egg and pandan cassava cake and it was really good. Definitely recommend and will be coming back to try more items. Staff were nice too and quick service.

Lovely stuff👌. Lovely food. Nice clean and tidy. 💯 I will recommend. The beef soup 🍲 is amazing also the barbeque pork is fantastic. Vietnamese coffee and coffee latte is a must to try. All sorts of foods 😋. Thank you Sue Lynn and Brid. Very helpful stuff.

This restaurant has been a regular spot for me for over 3 years now and I must say that it is the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. Really flavourful and good portion sizes. Not to mention, the staff are so friendly and helpful! I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

I came here with a colleague for dinner and enjoyed it so much I came back again the following night as I’ve been staying for business this week.

The food is delicious - very fresh and tasty. Vegan spring rolls were generously sized and delicious. I enjoyed both the chicken curry and the Pho chicken noodle soup.

The steamed banana cake dessert was really different and one of the best desserts I’ve had.

I lived in Asia for 11 years and have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants, the food is very good here and very fresh.

Service was very friendly and welcoming - thank you to the staff on both nights.

Couldn’t recommend more highly.

A great Vietnamese restaurant near Tate Modern Museum.

We came here before an evening exhibition at Tate Modern. The restaurant is within 10min walking distance from the museum. It was really busy, but we were able to get a table without booking.

The service was a bit on the slow side, as there were only two people serving for a full house of guests. The food was really good. Would like to try the pho noodles next time, but the dishes (dry mixed noodles and some veggie salad) we had were also great. The portion was huge and the price was really reasonable.

Will come back again the next time I visit Tate modern.

I found this hidden gem while walking to Borough. Amazing from start to finish! Great service and delicious food. The sizzling aubergine with beef is amazing and freshly made summer rolls too. Will definitely be back soon.

A little jem of a spot and definitely worth a visit. We stopped off for lunch after a visit to the Tate Modern, this spot is about 10/15min walk from the Tate. The menu had a great selection and was as close to what we thoroughly enjoyed about Vietnam amazingly good fresh food. Friendly staff too!

Great service and the noodle soups were delicious! I had the bun bo hue and portion size was good. There was a lot of meat and veggies in the bowl.

Very good Pho and Bun Hue. Very nice staff. Summer rolls were much better than other restaurants, and there were many choices of fillings. I would definitely go back.

Union Viet are great, food is excellent and Su and her team are all lovely. We also used them to aid with a work event and they couldn't have been more helpful.
Highly recommend their Vietnamese coffee!

Loved it! Really good food, had the Bun Bo Hue Noodle soup and it was great! Perfect on a cold day walking around Central London, it really put us back on our feet! Fast service even if it was quite busy during lunch.

Fantastic lunch! Iced coffee was super strong and delicious, and the roast chicken was outrageously good. I could eat it for the rest of time

got the roast pork summer rolls and the chicken satay rice bowl, the chicken was a tad dry but I did walk 20 minutes to get home after collecting so I can't hold it against them, excellent service, atmosphere and food otherwise

Super fast, super yum. Prawn Pho was excellent and the broth was so delicious. A bit weird that it came in a takeaway container, but - it was so yum, I didn’t mind.

We had a last minute work lunch for 10 people and they kindly accommodated us, even though we didn’t phone ahead. The food was delicious as always, and quick too. Every time I go I try something new and am never disappointed!

Adore this restaurant, I am a regular online orderer as the food is so delicious but also feels very fresh, tasty and healthy. Excellent service and food every time.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of London. Excellently priced, good sized portion for the price. I had bun hue (sp) and it was absolutely delicious. Beer wasn't too expensive either. Would highly recommend!

Omg, that was the best noodle dish I ever had! Walked in yesterday unplanned without any expectations....I was just blown away! The flavours were on a different league. Get your a$$ down there at once, you won't be disappointed!!

Food was great and the overall aesthetics and atmosphere was very nice.

The chefs special Shaken Beef was amazing and i recommend it highly if you are looking for a meaty dish.
