Amathus Soho

My visit to Amathus Drinks in Soho was one of the most enjoyable wine shopping experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was remarkably knowledgeable and went above and beyond to assist me. I left with the perfect selection I had in mind, along with several additional bottles I wouldn’t typically consider.

After an enthusiastic recommendation of Aquavit from a Norwegian guy in my local pub in Wakefield when I was visiting my son in London I was determined to find Linie Aquavit. After several websites and actual visits I found Amathus in Soho. The lady who served me confirmed they had miniature bottles in stock (I didn't know if I would like it so didn't want a 70cl bottle) As I was on a schedule to catch a train she game me a great potted history of the drink / brand and food to pair with this sophisticated drink. Brilliant service and I do like the different taste...but the till price was higher than the website...

What a god send of a shop. On a very busy Wardour Street in Soho, the staff were superb. I called ahead to make sure they had what I wanted in stock. A very polite member of staff put two bottles of the mead I wanted aside as I was travelling up from SE London. When I arrived I was handed the bottles by a very friendly staff member. I will definitely shop there again.

The best liquor store in London! I have been visiting this store regularly for more than a year, and each visit is the most enjoyable shopping experience ever. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and they are genuinely interested in hearing what you enjoy drinking, guiding you through your options, and helping you get the best tasting bottles for the most affordable prices.

Sam, the store manager, introduced me to the world of whisky over a year ago, and every time I visit, he takes his time to help me as much as possible. He doesn't approach his customers like a sales person, but rather gives the most honest suggestions, which is why I keep coming back here. Highly recommended!

Top quality selection of wines and spirits. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly! The options are endless. I purchased this whiskey with a crate ethically made by prisoners, how cool! You won't be disappointed and I guarantee you'll leave with a new kind of alcohol you haven't heard of before. Can't wait for my next visit!

I went in to ask for help in choosing a bottle of wine to meet my partner’s parents for the first time and the team there were absolutely lovely, helping me to choose a bottle that would strike the right balance between impressive and delicious. I can’t thank them enough!

Love this shop! Great range of alcohol, helpful staff and even able to taste the mezcals before buying. Good rum selection too.

What a great experience, This place has very knowledgable and friendly staff! I was exploring different whiskys and had a few questions, all of which were answered. On top of that I found some drinks I'd never heard of before. I'll definitely be back and would recommend it. Cheers!

What a gem! Spectacular selection of Whiskeys and Saskia was incredibly knowledgeable. Found a few bottles here that I absolutely could not find anywhere else, and I called nearly every whisky shop in London looking. If you're looking for scotch for yourself or a fine gift for a whisky lover, this is the best spot in London, hands down.

A great range of amari, and very knowledgeable staff to help pick the right bottle. Been in here a couple of times, and with how friendly the staff are, and their willingness to take the time to talk through various options, it's very hard to not walk past without buying anything!

Everything you could want and more to have amazingly stocked bar. Excellent variety of base spirits, liqueurs, bitters and syrups and helpful and friendly staff to point you in the right direction.

Amazing customer support, the lady in the shop was amazing. Love to visit there again soon.

They have a great selection of beer, wine & alcohol!
If I didn't google it beforehand I probably was missing it, as its a small store on a quiet street. it was a pleasure to go and buy there they are very friendly and welcoming I will definitely will come again.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Ordered online, but made a mistake in my order; Nabeel, Darren and Tom from the Accounts and E-commerce teams responded and resolved my issue within a few working hours. Picked up my order in the Soho store the next day with more friendly service from the gentleman behind the counter. Will definitely be back for my next order.

Best selection in town. Its very nice to see wines from my home country cyprus as well as many other origins
