Besides being a spectacular building, the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s not a large museum but I found the space to be well utilised. The Andy Warhol exhibition running in Summer 2023 lends really interesting context as a precursor to his work as a pop art pioneer.

The current exhibition (Winter 22/23) features the work of Kaffe Fassett. No sign of Zandra when I visited, but the always fabulous Diane was in attendance.

Wonderful to visit a testament to Zandra Rhodes...an amazing woman. Biba was a wonderful retrospective and my old store Pontings was mentioned. Shame not more clothes...the wife should have loaned some of her items...but BH deserves a round of grateful applause. Thank you.

With only a novice interest in fashion and design, I found the museum and the space to be an amazing introduction into some of the thought and personal expression that goes into fashion design. I went to the museum to view the Anna Sui exhibition and was not disappointed! Staff and volunteers were friendly and provided a lot of education and context for what I was viewing on display. Will definitely be checking out future exhibits here.

Nice exhibit space - well laid out, well lit, very informative info-panels. I went to the ‘60s fashion exhibit which I loved ! And for bonus points it’s in a great neighbourhood and only a couple of steps from London Bridge Station.

This is a little gem of a museum. My daughter and I had a lovely time looking at all what was on display. And the Easter chick hunt 😊 she has chose to take art and textiles for her options, so this is a great place for inspiration. definitely come back for other exhibits. The little shop has a few rather cool expensive items, but also has good reasonable items too. We got 2 books, postcard, pencils and rubber for under £22. Good workshop days available. Easy to get to. Cool location x friendly staff. well worth it!

I visited this small but impressive museum, it was probably my lucky day when I visited because the exhibit (Weavers of the Clouds) was just great. Great pieces, stories of the people making the pieces, the description of materials to create the pieces, everything well curated and organized. I felt that I paid the right price for the admission, and I had the pleasure to walk around the neighborhood, had a cup of coffee, and learn about this part of London. Thank you

Excellent gallery with very well curated and researched exhibitions. I've seen one about art deco fashion a while ago which was absolutely fantastic - ruch and varied. I'm looking forward to the Andy Warhol textiles one before it closes. People complaining about the size of the gallery should do their homework before visiting. It's a modest size but more than makes up for this in the quality of the exhibitons / content

Wonderful place for people interested in the business of creative craft making. The variety in the exhibitions they put on here is excellent and well worth the short walk from London Bridge.

I was a regular here but have let things slip in recent years and hadn't visited for several years. I went back a few days ago and things haven't changed...it's still the same and I am overjoyed at it!

What I like is how close you can get to the exhibits and I really get to study the pieces in detail. The gallery is in a small space, but that works in its favour as you don't get bombarded with things to see (unlike in the British museum!).

They also put on fine special events and workshops, I have been to a few and they are excellent. They have special guests from the Royal school of needlework and Savile Row putting on classes and masterclasses as well as many other talented craft workers. There is an excellent shop selling printed matter and craft items and a nice cafe.

I love the FTM because I really believe they want people to enjoy the displays and come away with some more knowledge & inspiration. I don't feel like they want to take your money and I think it is wonderful.

I will be back very soon, will keep checking the website for new exhibitions, events and classes and promise not to leave such a large gap inbetween my visits again!

Do yourself a favour and visit soon.

Don't miss this beautiful exhibition Weavers of the clouds which ends on 8 September 2919. It gives an incredible insight into the lives of these people, it is not just about the textiles but explains the text about and within them

Really interesting museum. Worth a trip, particularly if you have an art pass. I enjoyed looking at all of the dresses and the fabrics used to make them. If I lived in the area, I would visit frequently to see all the different exhibits since they change frequently.

I've loved every exhibition I've seen here, the lay out, the themes, the information, the colours. It's never felt too crowded.
