Giddy Grocer

One of the better delis/grocers that I’ve been to in London to date. In addition to a excellent selection of pantry goods, I was offered some samples of salami and caerphilly cheese, which was so delicious that I couldn’t help but get some. The staff were fantastic too.

Brings together the best of Bermondsey, and beyond.

Bermondsey is a wondrous hub of artisanal food makers and Giddy Grocer stocks many of them in one place. For examples, Bermondsey Bees honey, The Butcher meat cuts, Neal's Yard cheese and Palace Culture vegan 'cheese' (the best I have ever had, and I eat dairy cheese!)

Added to this is a wonderful range of other artisan and lesser known brand foods. Stars like UK grown heritage beans from Hodmedods & proper long-simmered bone broth from Spring.

These delights are together with a small but well stocked fresh produce section, fresh baked goods, what is probably a great wines selection, organic chilled dairy, sauerkraut and kimchi.

. . . and the people! They are friendly, they greet you, pretty soon by name, and they appear to love the food, know the food, and be interested to chat. This *is* your friendly local fine food store and if you live nearby, treasure & cherish it. South of the river we do not have Wholefoods & Planet Organic, but we have this, and it is better! :-)

Superb grocer, deli, wine shop all rolled into one.

My favourite place to shop for deli foods, cheeses, fresh organic fruit and vegetables, great selection of natural wines, delicious cakes and desserts and a daily lunch menu of homemade soups, salads and sandwiches made by the owner. Fantastic.

For me the best local grocery in London bridge with exceptional natural wines and great fresh products with great staff.

What a cosy place! When you enter it feels like a small treasure grove of the most delicious and special things.

Great lunch options & awesome events. Also a good range of wine that you wouldn’t find in a regular grocery store.

A great neighbourhood grocery! Quality products with the occasional good deal to be had. Be certain to get a recommendation on a natural wine if you’re up for trying something different from the norm.

It’s nigh on impossible to get produce this good in the week in SE1 and these guys have changed that. Every single member of staff especially the owner have all been super friendly every single time I’ve been in. Keep up the good work guys.

What a fantastic place and a real welcome addition to the local area! Such a wonderful selection of carefully chosen produce and very friendly and helpful staff as well. Really great to see a place paying homage to quality, local ingredients and delighted to have such a place near to our offices. Will be going back!

A quick visit to my new London office yesterday which is a stone's throw from the Giddy Grocer. Gluten free lunch choices are hard to come by but bought the roasted butternut squash salad tub which was to die for ... I'll definitely be back for a visit.

I am writing a newer review as I was rather harsh in a former review shortly after this shop opened and would like to say that it is a welcome addition to the area...All the produce is of excellent quality and stock is being added continuously...staff are very helpful too..

Fantastic little grocer, lots of fresh produce from all the best traders in the local area.

If you can imagine going back in time to the original friendly greengrocer, where fresh natural produce is on display and the staff are actually welcoming and knowledgeable. That's what it's like visiting this store. It has been so beautifully arranged that anybody would easily be mistaken for thinking that an Art class was about to create an oil painting about it.

Forget about big noisy soulless supermarkets this local store has turned shopping back into an emotional experience that excites my senses and makes me rekindle my love for shopping again.

You are actually encouraged to enter the store and all questions to discover what they sell and learn more about the produce they sell.

An utter delight. Fun treats to discover, gorgeous produce spilling out everywhere, and the staff are warm and friendly. So happy they're in the neighbourhood.

A beautifully laid out old fashioned grocer, the products are largely British and locally sourced. Slightly on the expensive side, but worth it for a treat.

A lovely grocery store right in the heart of trendy Bermonsey street. If you're looking to get your hands on the infamous Bermonsey street honey, this is the place to go.

Amazing croissants, best in town. Also the fruit is delicious, really good quality, friendly staff
