Our visit to Boxcar Bar & Grill was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance exuded warmth and charm. The rustic decor coupled with subtle lighting created a cozy atmosphere perfect for a casual evening out. The menu boasted a diverse selection of dishes, each prepared with finesse and attention to detail. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the food; every bite was bursting with flavor, and the presentation was impeccable. Boxcar Bar & Grill exceeded our expectations and left us eager to return for another memorable dining experience.

We were a large group including kids and the staff were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable.
Stumbled on this place as was looking for a last minute roast for a large group that included close friends from out of town (Australia). I wanted them to experience a Sunday Roast, London style!
Boy did this place IMPRESS!
From it's easy location to it's atmosphere, to it's service to it's food.... Tick, tick, tick tick and more ticks.
I have to admit this would be one of the best roasts I've had in a restaurant!
If you are in the area, do yourself a favour and be sure to visit this gem!!

Had the most amazing dinner last night at Boxcar. The fillet steak was like butter - so tender, I barely needed a knife. And those scallops with pancetta and artichokes were the best I’ve ever tasted.

I usually don’t have dessert but I had to try the rhubarb millefeuille. I’m still dreaming about those layers of pastry and cream.

The service was impeccable too. Lorenzo and Liam made the whole experience like we were dining in a warm, welcoming home. I can’t wait to go back.

Wow, honestly this was the best food we have had in London. We got the steak and the duck breast and it was so delicious and well cooked. The staff were also so lovely - great people and super friendly. The ambiance was awesome - great place for lunch, dinner or cocktails! Definitely coming back!!

I will be coming back soon. I hosted my two friends and my son for a steak on Thu night. The Rib eye and 3 sirloins were made to perfection. My friend asked for his to be cooked slightly more which was sorted quickly. Peppercorn sauce was a delight. Broccoli delicious. Great staff, smiles and fun. Quick too. House red was a great selection. Box car will see me and my friends again.

I visited a couple of weekends ago and I had an extremely positive experience at Boxcar.
The atmosphere was very warm and relaxed. Our server looked after us very well and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, being able to advise even on the portion sizes.
Drinks were reasonably priced for Central London and the food was enjoyed by all us in attendance and we all had a variety of starters, mains and desserts.
I'd happily return and have no reservations in recommending Boxcar.

Service was fantastic and the food was pretty good and good portion sizes! The sourdough bread starter was alright. Pork chop was cooked well and tender, the sea bass was delicious, and we enjoyed the truffle and Parmesan fries. We had a nice bottle of red wine to go with it all.

I’d recommend this place for date nights or catch up with friends.

I really enjoyed my meal at Boxcar Bar and Grill. The angus beef steak was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made sure that I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Fabulous food and service and a good wine selection. The beetroot tart is delicious. Went with friends and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Would highly recommend!

Loved every dish we ordered. You gotta go try it yourself to undetstand how good this is! We had the steak, truffle fries, and salmon.

Amazing restaurant and food! The staff was so lovely and friendly, the food was amazing. Had the beef cheeks croquettes and Chateaubriand. The meat was on the point done and really amazing. They even had something for my special request! Looking forward to the next time, when I am in London!!

Mouthwatering and Sophisticated.

Boxcar, nestled in #marylebone delivered a top notch evening for myself and four friends. An intimate and modern setting, located on an up market residential street a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle.

Excellent service from start to finish. A special thanks to our server, Federico, who was utterly charming. His recommendations were spot on, as was his attentive service.

To start, I enjoyed the scallops and chorizo: a buttery and smoky classic combo done well. Secondly, I opted for the Duroc pork chop with a side of spring onion mashed potato and upon Federico’s recommendation, a tomato salad and red wine jus. Tangy apple sauce, the natural richness of the Duroc and the salty tomato salad was a tastebud tingling sensation. Not to mention the addition of the red wine jus, which was perfection. My friends, who all ordered steaks, were equally pleased with their choices.

Everything was washed down with a couple of bottles of Nero d’Avola. This smooth and leggy red is dangerously good. A prefect companion to our meat.

Came here for a drink, the staff is very friendly and nice, the atmosphere is really good, it’s tiny but very pretty. The cocktail was amazing and prices reasonable according to the position of the bar.

Lovely place to have a nice meal. Steak tartare and scallops were so tasty. Highly recommended

Had the pleasure of dining at Boxcar today. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
My mackerel was wonderful as was my son’s Lamb. Great bottle of Sauvignon Blanc added to the fun. Thank you to the team there for a great Easter lunch.

Pretty much blown away by the house burger and the super-fruit salad side.
The Butcher’s Board is also great for meat lovers and food snobs alike. Great coffee too.
