The Merivale Dental Practice

Been a patient here for over 30 years... Matthew keeps such a great eye on the whole family's teeth that we have barely ever needed more than his comprehensive check ups and clean (childhood accidents aside). We have moved out of the area, but still travel back here.
My daughter had braces with Ama and her experience was so good that I have now also had them. He takes great care to talk you through the process and made it comfortable and pain-free. We both love our straight teeth.

I have been a patient at Merivale Dental Practice for well over 10 years. I had some rather extensive work done over the decade, including implants and braces, and I have always been very happy with the process and result.
And even though I now live 3 hours away from London, I would not consider changing practice. I always look forward to visiting. Thank you Kulvinder (by far the best dentist I have ever had), Lesley, Professor Ama and the rest of the team for looking after me and my teeth so well over the years.

Doctor Rizvi is extremely professional and conducts himself in a honourable manner. He provides his honest thoughts on what works best for you based on his experience and develops very personable relationships with his clients.
Excellent practitioner at a clean and welcoming establishment

I had an excellent experience with both Kulvinder, the dentist and Shiva, the hygienist when I visited the practice this week. Kulvinder is kind and gentle, yet extremely professional and thorough. I am usually very scared to visit the hygienist since I often find it a painful experience. However, I can honestly say that I felt no pain at all with Shiva. I shall certainly return confidently next time and cannot recommend the practice highly enough.

Our first time visiting Merivale Dental practice yesterday and it was brilliant. Thank you to Dr Zain for making my mum feel so comfortable during her appointment. She's usually quite nervous going to the dentist and Dr Zains kind and patient manner helped keep her relax. Also many thanks to the wonderful receptionist team who were so helpful when I needed somewhere to change and feed my baby. We have found our new dental practice now :)

I recently had my first appointment at Merivale, and it was a very positive experience. Dr. Kulvinder Sokhal conducted a thorough examination, explaining everything in clear and simple language. Dr. Sokhal and his dental nurse Lesley were extremely professional, and at the same time, very helpful and friendly. I am very happy to have found this excellent dental practice in the heart of Greenwich!

I've been to Merivale quite a lot over the last year and a half. Everything from hygienist to dentures to implants and it's been a great experience. From the reception and booking staff who are always really helpful to Shiva, my hygienist, who has always done a fantastic job, been really friendly and given good advice.

And also Kulvinder whose expertise helped me so much through a lot of dental work and made me feel much better during the procedures. He gave me great advice and really made me more comfortable with all the work I needed to get done.

I'd highly recommend Merivale. The best place by far that I've been to.

I have been a patient at Merivale for many years and cannot praise the staff highly enough. A recent wisdom tooth extraction was a typical example of the level of care offered by all the staff at the practice. My dentist, Kulvinder, gave me plenty of time and information to reach a decision and made the procedure as painless and positive as possible - his obvious knowledge and expertise is very reassuring and the follow-up call from the reception staff was very much appreciated. I have regular appointments with the dental hygienists, who are equally caring and knowledgeable- Merivale is the real deal and backs up excellent treatment with patient care and consideration.

Dr Kulvir answered all my questions regarding pain I experienced with a previous root canal and figuring out what could be the cause. He recommended a 3D x ray which found the cause of the problem that previous dentists weren't able to figure out. I appreciated the help.

I've been a patient for many years, even after moving out of London I still stayed with them since they're simply the best.
Dr. Johal was my orthodontist and I am very happy with the results. Dr. Nolan is my dentist and he's absolutely great.

I was referred to Prof Ama Johal for consultation as my front teeth were moving and at age 49, I was keen to address the issue before it got any worse. Ama devised a clear treatment plan for fixed braces on upper and lower teeth and talked me through the entire process. Knowing that I would be 50 and wearing a brace, any fears I may have had, were soon gone by his lovely kind and gentle manner and lighthearted humour. A year down the line I am still in treatment, but the braces are off and the results are absolutely incredible. I am throughly delighted with the results and my teeth look amazing and most importantly, natural! The Merivale Dental Practice are so wonderful, from the front of house, dental nurses and the wonderful Prof Johal. I am so grateful to have been referred there by my dentist and it was the best decision I made to agree with the recommended treatment plan - Claire P

Always very happy during my visits. I am horrified of needles and all things dental. However at this practice I'm never scared ahead of my appointments. My treatments are painless even the anesthesia doesn't hurt.

A session with the Hygienist followed by a dental check up. I currently have a back problem & in both cases cushions were promptly provided to support lower back & neck & particular care exercised in lowering the dental chair to ensure a comfortable position for me albeit somewhat higher than normal for the staff. Scale & polish completed without even tickling the gums.
At the check-up l discussed a particular dental concern l had against a background of other medical vulnerabilities & treatments which were carefully noted. This was investigated very professionally including X-rays (& very patiently even though it extended the duration of my booked session) and a course of further investigation & action was identified & clearly explained, including a proposed referral to a dental hospital. By the time l got home nearby, the referral was confirmed. Calm effective & efficient service with a smile. Greatly appreciated.

Such a lovely tone with your newsletter, very caring and great consideration given to your 'support staff' who in the past have held my hand when I have had an extraction! Super care given to patients.

Fixing my teeth once and for all was a long and complicated project, and I'm glad I trusted it to the Merrivale - Zain and Matthew in particular. It's no exaggeration to say that they (and the excellent reception and nursing staff) have changed my life for the better, with incredibly skilful treatment in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I had a clear brace fitted top and bottom for a period of 18 months,under the care of Prof Ama Johal. He truly is excellent in his profession ,friendly and very gentle during adjustments of the brace. I would highly recommend him to friends and family. The whole team at Merivale are very professional and always check in to remind you of your appointments via email or telephone. I'm delighted with the results of my treatment.
