Great!!! Historical and well curated. Being able to see Freud’s couch and artifacts, the garden and where Anna Freud was inspired.
This place will leave you inspired to ask yourself deeper questions about life.

The tour is very worthwhile. It was the last house where Sigmund Freud lived with his family and dog. His daughter Anna Freud, a psychoanalyst for children, lived there until the end of her days and it was her wish that the house become a kind of museum.
Dr Sigmund Freud's office sets the tone for the character, a lover of the arts of the Ancient World, especially Egypt and Greece, and a great collector of small objects. The divan is also there, travelling directly from Vienna to London. It's exciting to know that so many figures from Freud's work have sat down, opened up, cried and taken comfort there. The tour isn't just for psychoanalysts, but a little prior knowledge or a desire to get to know them makes it a better experience.
There are lots of photos of the family, friends (Lou Salomé and Marie Bonaparte), Freud's personal belongings (glasses, pen, umbrella, above all, the "monster" he wore in his mouth, the ashtray and many other things.
At the end, there is a room with a replica of the divam where you can lie down and take photos (free of charge) and a shop where you can buy postcards, magnets, T-shirts, mugs, books and many other things.
One of the staff speaks Brazilian Portuguese and another European Portuguese.

London is worth visiting... Big Ben, The Buchingham Palace, Westminster, The Shard, The London's Eye, Tate, Madame T... The priority on my Ioana's Visiting Agenda, has been for many years, FREUD. ..
The big day has arrived!
We met Freud at Belsize Lane. We went to his home in Hampstead. We took him for a glass of wine at Restaurant . We then led him on his final journey to Golders Green Crematorium...
Such a great meeting!

We choose not randomly each other. We meet only those who already exists in our subconscious.

Went for a curation about the travels of Sigmund Freud and it felt like we time-travelled back to the 19th century for an hour. The curator really brought things to life with his stories. At the same time, he explained some key concepts from Freuds' psychoanalysis which was fascinating and insightful.

The museum itself is the house they lived in and several rooms are preserved exactly how it used to be, with original furniture, art, books, and his famous couch. There were videos showing how they sat in their garden and played with their dog. It felt like we were part of their life.

Loved it and 100% recommend, esp to join a curated tour - check times on their website.

We had a fascinating visit here. I had visited the rooms for many years online through the website. This was my first opportunity to come in person so it was very exciting. We listened to the audio guide as we went through each room so we learnt in detail about the relevance of each object and how Freud and his family lived in the house. There is an excellent bookshop. One of the books I bought was the guide to the collection of Freud’s sixty five desk pieces collected over many years. This has been printed in a limited edition of 500. The museum also runs workshops. A childrens philosophy workshop was in progress during our visit.

It was an interesting & inspiring moment to be close and within a personal space to the last home of the founder of psychoanalysis, the late Dr Sigmund Freud. His amazing collection of books and artefacts were taken from Vienna to London in 1938, on his last trip, to be kept in this beautiful home in the suburb of London. After he died, this house was home to his youngest daughter, whom went into footsteps of her father to be a pioneering children psychoanalyst.

Get to know Freud and his daughter, Anna in their own home. Beautifully preserved house and audio-guide narrated by the curators adds a nice personal touch. It's like getting to know a friend from a century ago.

Really interesting place, the last home of the great man who escaped from the Nazis leaving his home in Vienna to spend the last year of his life here. But he was also able to take most of his possessions with him. The highlight is definitely his study where many of these treasured possessions remain including the couch where his patients lay, his desk and his collections of ancient archeological objects recovered from excavations from places like Egypt. He actually made an anology between delving into the minds of his patients and excavations to reveal archeological past.
Do watch the couple of videos upstairs in the seated theatre which have original black & white film covering the period 1930 to 1939 and his move from Vienna to this house.
Very interesting museum.
After Sigmund Freuds death from Cancer in 1939, Anna Freud, his daughter and pioneering child psychoanalyst, continued to live and work her till her own death in 1982

It's a fantastic, not too crowded, beautiful museum. You can still smell the taste of Sigmund's pipe. Very authentic. Also a great chance to enter one of the lovely Hampstead Heath houses and gardens. Worth a visit. They even have a friendly cat.

Freud Museum is an amazing pearl of Europe. Placed in the last residence of Sigmund Freud, it is plenty of remarkable details about his career and the impact living in London had is his life.
The collections encompass many authentic Freud possessions, and they are well organised. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Visiting Freud's house was an incredible experience. The house is well maintained, with a beautiful and well kept garden. You can see a lot of Freud's significant belongings, especially the world famous couch!!! The experience made me truly emotional, as it was a chance to get closer to the figure of Freud both as a professional and as a human being and family man. The visit also enables to familiarise with the figure of Anna Freud, who was a pioneer in Child Psychology. Great experience all round!!!

Such a delightful and quirky museum! It’s literally a house in the middle of a neighborhood, which gives Freud a homey and cozy feeling- feelings not often associated with Freud. It’s a nice visit for therapists and non-therapists alike. Not only does it house Freud’s work and collectibles, it also features an Original Dali as well as Dali sketches. Definitely worth the trip!

Well maintained museum to learn about the life of Freud and see where he spent his last years. The audio tour is well done. The gift shop if packed with a great selection of goods (not all Freud). Stop in to shop even if you don’t visit the Museum!

One of the best museum experiences I ever had in London. You are truly immersed into the world of Sigmund Freud and his family. The experience overall feels truly personal with lots of interactive elements on display as well.
My personal highlight was the private garden which was stunning during summer time.

Very engaging experience, Sigmund Freud's final residence. Gives an intimate look at Freud's life, as originally curated by his daughter Anna Freud. Check out the actual analysis couch!
