Croydon Minster

I went to Croydon and I was trying to find the wandle park. Suddenly my eyes stucked on this gem.
It's a beautiful ancient church. I heard that the history of this Church starts before 14th century. Such a beautiful work. I enjoyed the beauty of different statues on the wall and the nice lawn outside. Wall is made up of a particular stone and the outer surface is really sharp. I'll definetly visit this again.

A beautiful historic church. Sunday services are lovely with a very friendly atmosphere.Many different events that take place throughout the year also.

This is a lovely place and building. A real hub for the community, which is often used at key events.

It's good to see a Christian place that has a key foot in the community. On a side note, it's a lovely place to take photos. The building really does look good if you are into architecture. There is no steps which makes access simple for pushchairs and I can imagine wheelchairs. It is a clean and well maintained building.

Great things are happening, long may the building serve as a place of worship.

Brilliant for the Choral concert we attended

Croydon Minster is the parish and civic church of the London Borough of Croydon. There are currently more than 35 churches in the borough, with Croydon Minster being the most prominent. It is Grade I listed.

Visited for the first time for the Remembrance service. The church itself is beautiful and the service was lovely!

More beautiful than the Minster itself is the ministry team. They are the kindest and caring people and go to great lengths to make you feel welcome and appreciated.

Just visited to hear The Sixteen in concert. Fabulous acoustics for this event. Lovely church.

More like a cathedral than a parish church. I went to hear a lunchtime piano recital. It was absolutely brilliant. Excellent accoustics. Fantastic pianist. They do these recitals most Friday lunchtimes. I recommend it, even if, like me, you are not much into religion

Such a beautiful building with a wealth of history and orginal features that survived the fire of 1867 150years ago. The staff are very warm and friendly and helpful. The building is open every day (except Thursdays) for the public to visit and experience.

Lovely church within walking distance of East or West Croydon stations.
Don't be put off by its rather pompous rebranding as Croydon Minster. This is an important social centre for the area and a friendly atmosphere. If you get the chance to hear the organ (recently refurbished at great expense) or the superbly trained choir you will appreciate the fabulous acoustics. A haven of sanctuary in a frenetic and edgy district.

When i started attending St John The baptist there was only Jesus on the cross which now stands to the left of the altar, Whoever created the new design did a wonderful job. I have meet all the Priest in the last 15 yrs attending This church, All of whom have helped me increase my faithfulness in Jesus Christ our lord.

The choir ensemble that was singing there was amazing and they were perfectly in tune and sang several classic christmas carols and some that were incredibly unique. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

High Church and not ashamed. Cathedral standard choral music, lay clerks (and a number of choirboys) drawn from Whitgift School.

Very interesting church. First built in Saxon times recorded 960. There was the Great Fire 150 years ago and rebuilt. It's worth a visit
