Absolutely love it. This renovated church+cafe, 2 floor high calling remained lamps with beautiful view, coffee was ok, provide some pastry if you were hungry or tired, it is a good place for rest, or if you would like have a gothic party, not sure the owner will allow, anyway, feel like it once you step in.

St Nicholas Cole Abbey is a church in the City of London located on what is now Queen Victoria Street. Recorded from the twelfth century, the church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and rebuilt by the office of Sir Christopher Wren. The church suffered substantial bomb damage from German bombs during the London Blitz in the Second World War and was reconstructed by Arthur Bailey in 1961–2.

Very good bookstall related to church and broadcast ministry. Spacious coffee shop other than service time. Check for talks.

Worth checking out if only for the architecture of this Wren masterpiece! Serves great coffee too.

Grade I Listed, attributed to Wren, also incorporating fabric from earlier incarnations, much restored and extensively damaged during WWII. Prominent square tower features an unusual tapering spire with windows, a balcony and topped with a weathervane; in all, reminiscent of a lighthouse.
The entire edifice in fact, to some extent, seems adrift, a stranded lighthouse overlooking a turbulent domain.

Not being religious, my review is aesthetic only. Very pleasant place known for its food and coffee. Peaceful and comfortable break.
