Umbi Sharks Bay Diving Village

I had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem of a hotel, and it exceeded all expectations. The staff's decency, kindness, and helpfulness made my stay truly memorable. The cozy style of the place, coupled with excellent room service, created a welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease.

The view from the rooms is nothing short of magnificent. The pristine shores and marine life provide an unforgettable experience for any beach enthusiast.

The on-site restaurant further enhances the overall charm of this place. The delectable taste and generous portions of the dishes served made every meal a delightful experience. From the friendly staff to the cozy ambiance, this hotel is a true gem that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty.

My partner and I just came back from a week at Umbi Sharks Bay.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It had what we needed. The beds are relatively firm, and the AC worked well. The water pressure is decent, and the temperature was good. The bathroom layout was a bit cramped, but honestly not a big deal.

I don't know if it makes sense to go here if you're not diving. (Or at least snorkeling!). The location really is perfect for it. On the land-side of the things there's not necessarily a lot to do. Though, we walked down to Soho Square twice, it's about a 20-30 minute walk (or a 5 minute cab ride).

I did the Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses. While my partner just did the Advanced. All the staff at the center were lovely. Our instructor was clearly very skilled, and taught with a pragmatic and realistic approach. But still with a sense of humour.

The food was really an unexpected gem. We had opted for full board, to avoid having to think too much about it
I was really impressed with every meal. Everything had nicely balanced flavours, the portions were generous, and the menu has a good variety.
The staff were very attentive: after my partner had picked out some onions from her salad, the server remembered and prompted her the next day whether she'd like them removed.

We will definitely be coming back!

This is not a standard five star resort. Umbi is a diving hotel/camp. So, clean rooms, great food, fantastic location. If you are someone who will spend their time in Sharm snorkeling or better yet diving, this place is perfect. If you are looking for Room service, bar on the pool (Umbi has no pool) and such then it’s not for you.

One of the gems of sharm, quite an original place with rooms nested in the mountain, every room is a different style. Bedouin seating and amazing restaurant with really good food. An amazing diving site with very professional dive instructors. Beautiful reef with very colourful and varied reefs and fish.

As a passionate diver, I have visited many dive resorts over the years, but I can confidently say that my stay at Umbi was one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful and fully facilitated beach and the well-maintained, clean rooms. The diving staff was exceptionally professional and friendly, making me feel welcome and at home. Their knowledge of the local dive sites and conditions was truly impressive, and they ensured that I had a safe and enjoyable experience during each dive.

The daily boat departures from the beach to the best diving spots in the area were convenient and timely, allowing me to maximize my time in the water. The highlight of my trip was exploring the breathtaking coral reefs and diverse marine life in the Red Sea, which was truly an unforgettable experience.

I would like to give a special shout-out to Karim Saleh, Mohamed Fouad, Fahd Galal, Angela, and Abdullah Sami for their outstanding service and hospitality during my stay. Their kindness and attention to detail made my holiday extra special.

I stayed in room 506, which had a great view but required climbing many stairs. Despite this, I found the room to be comfortable and well-appointed, providing everything I needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Umbi Diving Center and Hotel enough. Whether you are a seasoned diver or just looking for a beautiful and relaxing beach vacation, this resort has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday. I am already looking forward to my next visit to Umbi and the opportunity to explore more of the incredible underwater world of the Red Sea.

We had the best time at the Umbi village!!
The place is amazing, the staff is super friendly and helps with everything needed with a big smile. And for divers, make yourself a favor and go meet Natasha, our instructor/guide/diving mom, she really cares, knows everything about diving and the sea, has an unbelievable amount of experience and, like that is not enough, she is super fun!!
We haven't leaved yet are already are thinking when to come back. Super recommend!!!

This place is a comfort zone, decent not very loud beach where you can enjoyem the sound of waves and the sun, comfortable seating, lovely service and people are always nice and helpful especially Alaa, Shika and sherif, pizza & Bedouin bread is A Must Try also the creamy soup was wow … very convenient for families

My partner and I had the best time. Good food for the right price, really chill vibes in a private beach and super helpful and kind staff.

We were really afraid of diving but we did the introduction and found one of the best experiences in our life. Really worth for the price. Thanks to Kareem and Mahmoud for being the best instructors ever (great people also). Highly recommended. Will repeat asap.

My wife and I loved our time with Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village. The Red Sea was always a dream of ours to go diving in ever since we got our scuba licenses. And staying at Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village made our experience so enjoyable!

With great lodging, food, and diving all in the same area we didn’t have to do any extra planning and could focus on diving. The village is located right on the beach, so when we weren’t diving we were either relaxing on the beach or enjoying our room’s amazing view of the sea.

They made renting our gear so easy and made sure we were all set the day before we left. Our dive instructors and boat crew were amazing. It was always so nice having a huge meal waiting for us on the boat after our dive. We loved seeing the animals, coral, and this beautiful piece of Egypt and highly recommend Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village.

We had to checkin at 4 AM in the night and their manager was nothing but helpful, even if sleepy. The rest of the staff doesn't speak English almost at all, might be a little inconvenient sometimes but still they try to be helpful.

The room was big with a nice view. The design of the buildings was wonderful, specific to Egypt.

The beach was nice and big, has a lot of stores, drinks and eating zones, shops for groceries, etc.

The morning breakfast was good, open buffet.

The check-out offered a very cheap taxi.

This is heaven for scuba divers and snorkelers.
The reef, which is one jump off the peer, is like a living aquarium full of fish and colorful corals.
You can take daily diving excursion to the best diving spots in the world, all of them short distance sailing.
You can relax on the beach or in the coffee house. And, you can have a heavenly massage on the beach by the one and only Cookie.

The ultimate Sinai and the Red sea experience.

P.s. the staff in this place is as good as it gets.

We didn't stay here, but the dive centre is amazing. Professional and efficient in every way. Abdallah is a lovely guide and very knowledge and helpful. I hope to return.

Perfect place for divers!
Everything is very close. Rooms are basic and clean. Very good view to the sea from every room.
Good reef and the jetty is just some secionds away. Fair and honest people.

In the restaurant you have to fight a bit that you can order.

Had a great week staying and diving. Highly recommended for diving focused travellers. The team at the hotel, dive center and the boat is very friendly and genuinely trying to make every guest's stay good. The regular rooms have amazing views on the sea. I would love to come back soon in the future

We were in Sharm for diving only. Every day boat diving. Umbi village is a cost-effective hotel to stay in. The diving centre is operated right in the village. They have their own diving boats. They offer liveaboards as well. We love sea food, enjoyed calamari, fish, and king prawns almost every day. The food on the boats was also very rich. The Sharks Bay isn't too impacted by the tides, so there is always water to swim, unlike some other resorts in Sharm. The house reef is really great for snorkelling. My daughter exercised her mermaid swimming there with the coral fish.

It is a spectacular site on the edge of the Red Sea with an incredible view: delicious food and beautiful architecture and environment. I loved this place ❤❤❤

The best location in Sharm . Beautiful unique architecture. Nice rooms with balcony over looking Tiran Island. Friendly warm and helpful stuff. The cleanest beach all over Sharm, same to say about the rooms & restaurants. Amazing fresh sea food. Great diving center . Will definitely make it to my second home❤

Was there for 5 days in October, diving with friends. Returned after many years of absence. I can say that the club is really great in terms of facility, location and above all - the staff. Always helpful, available and professional (both above and under water). Didn't stay at the accommodations there, but having checked the rooms, will definitely do so next time (probably the upper suites, rather than the lower wood bungalows).

Second home away from home, love it all the way.
