Sharm El Sheikh International Airport

Sharm El Sheikh Airport impressed me with its cleanliness and organization. The friendly staff added to the positive experience, always ready to assist. A top-notch airport for a smooth travel experience.

Having read these views I was reluctant to enter this airport on the way back from the so called 5* resort nearby.

However upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised & relieved because I had no issues at all.

All the staff were very friendly with smiles especially the female staff.
The two ladies with the hijabs were very professional & had beautiful smiles.

I flew via Easyjet.

As a female traveller with my 2 children the staff were amazing.

First we qued up and a guy in white uniform checked our passports and told us to go to the next section which was our terminal & which was going through body checks and laggage being placed on a belt.
They have 2 ques one for men and one for ladies.
Ladies do body search on the ladies & girls and men for men and boys.

After this you need to go to bag drop off desk even if you only have hand laggage to collect your boarding tickets which they give after seeing your printout version.

After this you need to go to another belt for passport and boarding pass check also fingers scanned.

Here you need to fill in a small card with your name,date of birth,place of birth & passport number for each person.
After this you can wait at departure gates where random checks are carried out.

General points:
- Remember to print out your boarding ticket before you travel because they do not have app scanning feature for easyjet flights on the way back to UK.
- Bring your own pen to fill in small card.
- Go to bag drop off even if you have only hand laggage.
- remember to smile & say thank you at each stage.
- Show some respect & you will be given respect in return.
Airport could be better managed if they had signs in English as you kind of do not know which terminal you are in as I had to ask man in white uniform where to go.
And all departure announcements are in Arabic and not in English which I found difficult to understand.

Seriously, after reading all these bad reviews I got quite worried about using the international terminal for leaving Sharm today…honestly everything was rapid and smooth, both police and airport staff member have been extremely helpful. ok, I don’t why they seized a small scissor, but wasn’t a big deal. Apart from that I didn’t have any issue at all during all the checks and controls, very efficient airport.
P.s. just a thing to improve : probably would be better keep the smoking area separated from the departures hall

Unfortunately my wife had a nasty slip and hurt her arm. We went to the Emergency Department at the international Hospital. All of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly, it also helped that quite a few of them spoke excellent English.

We were introduced to a very nice Doctor, her name was Doctor Passent and her English was excellent. She looked after us and took us to the relevant departments to have scans etc.
Unfortunately for Angela she had very serious fracture which needed surgery. She had a steel plate inserted last night .

During the two days she has been in the hospital, hopefully coming out today, she has had excellent treatment and a very high level of care.

It's been a very interesting experience, not available through the holiday reps.

This airport faced its supervisor for our country, Egypt

Fantastic.rooms were spotless and the food was amazin.staff were excellent as per usual.definatly go back again.

what a dream resort the airport bristol was bad but everything else is highily recomend we had a fab honeymoon

Great little international airport, quick in quick out. I was here 75 mins before the flight, after all the immigration and check in I still had one hour before the departure.

A very nice airport. A good choice of food and drink. Very large duty free shopping area. Quiet and clean. They do take security VERY SERIOUSLY. We must have had our hand luggage checked at least 4 times, ending with all our electronic stuff being swabbed just before boarding. But the security people are diligent and know their jobs. It was fine. I wouldn't even say that it was inconvenient really. But I pack light in my carry on. All in all, can't complain. There is a smoking area, but it is enclosed and a bit overwhelming.

Sharm El Sheikh airport is beautiful, I went there a year ago and the airport is clean and the staff are extremely generous and kind so I would recommend this airport to people planning on traveling to Egypt as it is wonderful.

Sharm has a special Character among all egyptian cities

Stayed at Magic World Hotel fantastic food, drink staff and great location, not to far from airport. WiFi in hotel very poor but for £20, euros or dollars you can purchase n Egyptian SIM card in one of the small shops on site. Would highly recommend the Safra and Flavours restraunts for evening even at extra charge. Downtown restraunt good in daytime but would not recommend for evening, had a fantastic time and would go again

I want to leave a great review to the staff at Sharm’s airport. I was on a flight to London with extremely rude and impatient people. One of the passengers even flicked off a member of the airport staff. This team member was very professional when confronting the rude passenger, whose only comeback was mocking the man’s accent. Well done brother for keeping calm and peaceful. Other team member were very friendly despite I spoke very little Arabic they directed me to where I needed to be. Finally, shoutout to the staff at Burger King for being friendly and fast with their service

Fairly fast arrival for a MENA country, 40 minutes from plane to taxi, with the luggage pickup.

New one organizaed . in the medil of the city . big wholes . you can find all your needs

I honestly do not understand all the bad reviews, yes there is a lot of checks but all goes super quick and everyone is friendly, good duty free shop and overall good experience, you just cannot please some people sometimes

The city revamp again to be a perfect destination for pleasure and doing business as well
