Funkhaus Cafe-Bar-Restaurant

Step back into the 1950s, with a wonderfully preserved original bar and wall art from the 50s, but with 21st century food and good service. Not particularly cheap, but great quality. They also have fantastic coffee! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, btw.

Good place for breakfast, the eggs and bacon was okay. The waiters speak English well. When we visited it was completely full. The toilets are also clean.

Such a cozy place in the heart of Cologne. Great cappuccino and good place to have your brunch in the city. Very kind staff. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place, very close to the Cathedral in Cologne, we ordered Benedicto eggs, and fruit bowl with yogurt and granola, Connie took care of us, excellent attention, she spoke English and German, even though it was full, the dishes arrived extremely quickly.

Went here for lunch and had a great experience. The food was served beautifully, tasted delicious and fresh, and the serving size is generous. The atmosphere was lovely, too. The service was quick and attentive, so I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Tasty beer, delicious sausages and chicken with potatoes. Very great atmosphere. The restaurant is located near Köln cathedral. Staff were polite.

Sat outside and had an excellent lunch here. Would recommend the tuna on toasted bread with radish and pickles. Delicious, as was the schwarz-beer. Presented really nicely and the service was quick, efficient and friendly.

Wonderful location next to the cathedral. There was a lot of outdoor seating and a nice mod vibe inside. They had decaf espresso and oat milk plus tons of delicious vegan options. For the location, the prices were reasonable and the food was tasty!

I had a delightful experience at Funkhaus Köln, the restaurant's location is conveniently close to Cologne HBh, just a 5-minute walk away. The place itself is beautiful with artistic decor, creating an enjoyable international atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
As for the treats I ordered, the machato lattes were as expected, nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable. The real stars were the desserts: the chess cake was the best I've had in Germany, soft, not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. The chocolate soufflé with ice cream was a delightful combination, and the cherries added a lovely touch. chocolate soufflé was fresh and served hot from the oven.
While the prices were a bit on the higher side, at 28 euros for my order, I understood that it was justified given the quality of the food and the ambiance. If you're willing to splurge for a wonderful dining experience, Funkhaus Köln is a fantastic choice. However, if you're on a tight budget, it might not be the most suitable option. Overall, I highly recommend trying their mouthwatering desserts and enjoying the unique atmosphere of the restaurant.

Don't think a lot if you're visiting Cologne and go directly to FunkHaus for a lovely food + desserts and atmosphere.
We had a landbrot pastrami and a sous vide kalbskotelett. Both were delicious. Finished with desserts New York Cheesecake and Schokoladensouffle, amazing.

After walking around the amazing Cologne Cathedral stop by Funkhaus for outstanding food and a Kolsch beer 🍺. Great prices for being in the hot area near the cathedral and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of inside and outside dining area.

Funkhaus - the 50s are alive. What a funky place to hang out, have a coffee or enjoy some dish from the various menu. Close to the main station, just a step to the dome ... inside or outside. Absolutely recommendable!

Lovely stop for a drink didn't try the food but it looked lovely, was the best place we found in Köln for proper coffee and the local beer Kolsch was good too best tip is to try the Glühbier it's delicious 😋

Good service and nice food. A bit pricier for breakfast but the place and service make up for it!

Need a break and coffee after going to the museums nearby. The service is friendly, the salad is delicious and fresh and the coffee is great.

The ambience of the terrace is amazing too. It's perfect to take a break from all the sight-seeing.
