Iberostar Tainos

My second time at this resort. Would happily go again. The staff is accommodating. The resort was very clean. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The food was enjoyable despite the shortage of condiments (no ketchup, mayo or mustard etc...) Beautiful setting. A smaller resort which I appreciated.

Resort was great. Staff are knowledgeable and very friendly and accommodating. Pool, grounds and beach are very nice - clean and spacious. There are activities and music at night. The 2 restaurants in the resort are very good.

Been to a few other resorts in vacinity and this resort is definitely a favourite. We will visit again if we are back to Cuba.

Great resort, it was small, well laid out and the rooms were very nice. Beach and pool were both awesome and there was never an issue getting loungers and we had a large group of 7 people. Food was also really good which was unexpected as I had heard not to expect much! All the staff was fantastic and very helpful!

This is our second trip to Tainos. We were here last March and then again last week!! We cannot say enough about how welcome we felt during our stay. We came home feeling relaxed and grateful.
We love the quaintness of this resort and how well maintained it is. Such care is taken to keep it clean and the grounds are beautiful. We spent each day at the beautiful beach and had no trouble finding a chair. The beach is cleaned and maintained with such care. The pool area is also so well maintained and clean.
There is no lack of entertainment. While on the beach we noticed there was stretching, dancing and games. Often the same at the pool as well as trivia games. The dancers often performed at the pool. They are incredibly talented. There were musicians, karaoke and other forms of entertainment during the day as well. The entertainment in the evening is so good and there was such a variety.
For us, the people who are employed at Tainos are the ones who made our holiday so extra special. Each one is hard working and went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. They seem to work together as a family and made us feel a part of that. We look forward to the next time we can visit our friends here again.

I can't say enough about the outstanding experience I had at this resort. After discovering it through Google reviews, I was thrilled to find that it not only met but exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff's level of service was exceptional. They consistently went above and beyond to cater to my needs, and I must give a special shoutout to the friendly bar staff who not only welcomed me warmly but also remembered my favorite order.

The food at the resort was a delightful highlight, offering a diverse range of dishes. While some options remained consistent daily, they added a few exciting variations to keep things interesting. I indulged in fresh lobster, wood-fired pizza, quesadillas, coconuts, and some of the best sorbet I've ever tasted, with flavors like mango and passion fruit. I admit I wasn't expecting such culinary delights in Cuba, but this resort truly impressed.

The nightly entertainment was a fantastic surprise. With the exception of one rainy evening, we were treated to captivating performances and incredible dancers. I can confidently say that these were some of the best performers I've had the pleasure of watching. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning to this resort in the future.

Additional notes:

- The cleaning staff did an exceptional job, visiting our room every day and even mopping a few times during the week.
- We did encounter a minor issue with our key card, which required a trip back to the reception for a quick fix.
- We opted for a late check-out due to our late-night flight, and for a reasonable extra fee of $40 CAD, they provided us with an entirely new room in the main building.

All in all, this resort provided an unforgettable and truly top-notch experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

tbh I only came to this resort for the tennis courts, but the highlight of my trip was the tennis lessons there with coach Jaime, I'm a super beginner who tried to learn tennis so many times, but I really made significantly faster improvement this time! He is a super nice and good coach, and apparently he regularly plays with the Cuban national tennis champion, so his skills should also be super awesome!

In January I spent a week in Cuba with my bestie Colleen on the most excellent trip, so far (much more to come lol)! If you’re considering a trip to Cuba, do it! You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the Iberostar Tainos resort. We did 2 excursions, a day trip to Havana and the “safari” that included snorkelling, horseback riding, swimming in cave, visiting a local farm, going out for lunch and few more sites. We ended eating at 3 restaurants off resort which were all excellent. I’ll try and keep this short lol

The amazing staff at this resort is what stood out the most. The servers are very good and always willing to please. The bar staff were fun, very social and kind. The cleaning staff do a great job at keeping the rooms looking nice. The grounds are beautifully kept and the gardeners work so hard to keep everything looking so pretty.

The food here was delicious! There were plenty of choices for every meal . Breakfast buffet has eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit and lots of bread a great cheese selections and much more. Never hit up the main lunch buffet, the pool snack area was our go to, and it offered burgers, hotdogs, pork sandwiches, pasta and pizza and lots of veggies and fruit. Supper buffet was excellent. Lots of selection from beef, pork, chicken, fish, all kinds sides and some of the best ice cream I’ve had! They have 2 a la carte to book, Cuban and Japanese. Both were excellent!

We stayed in the bungalows and they have a walk in shower, large balcony with two chairs and a small table great for those morning coffees or late night drinks. Rooms were nice and clean, amazing A/C and nice hot water, everything you need.

The beach is spectacular! The water is the most beautiful turquoise blue and you have the most amazing white fine sand for miles. It’s no wonder that these are considered some of the best beaches in the world.

The pool area is fun and lots of activities happening throughout the day. Live music, dancing and OMG the most delicious fruit punch (yes with alcohol lol) on Cuban day. Never had an issue finding spots to sit around the pool.

The evening entertainment was good. We attended many shows and everyone was so good and so friendly! Had some drinks with a few of them.

The bars were great. Lots of options and great service. We never waited very long for anything at the resort. If you’re looking for the late nights, you’re able party until 5am and bars start back up at 7am lol the bar staff were amazing! I cannot tell you enough how great these wonderful people were. I know I started by saying how the staff stood out and I will finish with the same. This resort was great, but the friendly staff that goes above and beyond is truly what will be bringing me back!

This hotel is on the smaller side, but what it lacks in size is made up for in service. from the moment you walk in you are greeting with a warm friendly smile from all staff!!! in the lobby bar you can find Alberto making a wonderful selection of coffees and cocktails, Yanet and Yadaisy circling the lobby to bring drinks out to thirsty vacationers. make sure you stop by and have an impromptu broomstick karaoke session with Jannia, she always finds a way to make you feel at home and to put a smile on anyone's face. the hotel is always looking clean and comfortable thanks to a fantastic cleaning staff. this may be a 4 star rated hotel, but this fantastic staff make you feel you are in a 5 star

A fantastic place to have a holiday rooms were great air conditioning was available, maid service excellent all the staff were always friendly a special mention to Arianne Dominguez Lora who worked in the public relations bureau, everyday always said hello and spoke to our group and like us were interested in our respective Cultures.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. pool was awesome and clean. There was always food and drinks available. This is a smaller quiet hotel for those wanting an alternative to a loud night life. I would definitely return!

A one week stay at the Tainos was one of the best stays in all my years, the staff all around where THE BEST. Room was spotless everyday, service was top, beach was paradise. Considering what the past 3 years has done to them the food was not bad. Only one down fall during the whole trip....the woman in the variety store next to reception, seriously she was one nasty b**ch. Over priced in USD ONLY, does not carry the simplest of travel needs, go one store down, the lady is much nicer.

The best hotel here In Valerdero plenty to do and also the staff go above and beyond to make your stay the best experience I stro ngly reccomend this resort and hotel

Nice place to be with you are looking for beautiful beaches at Cuba. The hotel is kind decadent with some old estructure, rooms and bathroom. Food is ok but its not diversified.

Great family vacation for the lil ones!
Learned about there culture and toured Havana, by bus drove through city .

Bringing bug spray is a good idea.
Afterbite is also a good idea..
Don't expect the food to be great, but it is good and that's what I expected.
We were on the main floor of a villa facing the pool. Had a Patio on the corner that was quite nice.
Everyone Should visit king George bar by the beach say Hi to him for us!

Such a beautiful expérience. Nice and quiet place to visit the beach is amazing hot weather and warm welcoming People. Nayelett did her best to got me a réservation at the japonaise restaurant. I will do it again hope with my family!!! this time i came solo to relaxe.

I have been to the Iberostar Tainos 4 times, and it keeps getting better! It’s my favourite resort in Cuba; I have been over 30 times, and now that I’ve found the IT, I always come back here.

It’s the staff that makes the biggest difference; the people who work here are very welcoming. Annalis at the front desk is a superstar; she made sure my elderly mother got the room she wanted.

I bring a choir here every year for singing and fun, and this resort welcomes us, loves that we bring music to them! One day I misplaced my travel music stand, and Jania, the Customer Relations rep, went on a hunt for it and it was found. Pretty impressive.

I hadn’t been there since pre-pandemic times, and was concerned about the food in particular, because there were some reviews that complained about it, but it was great! Very savoury meals. I’m paleo, and I always had something delicious that worked for me.

The entertainment team and dancers/singers are top-notch. I’ve been to the Tropicana in Havana, and the shows here are better!

All in all, it’s a wonderful spot, perfect beach, smallish resort so easy to get around, and everyone works hard to make the guests have an amazing vacation.

Would like to say thank you to the team of “Guest service” that located right at the entrance on the left side of lobby.
They gave us the best service including fast response and solved all our requests.
They were very friendly and professional. Keep doing like that.
