Hotel Tuxpan Varadero

Spend an amazing week here at this resort with my sister and parents! The staff and guest service not only provide you with amazing costumer Service but take the time to take care of each and every guest who comes here to Tuxpan. The rooms are very clean, thanks to our amazing maid and the drinks are the best part3<3<3 will definitely be coming here again next year for an other vacation!

My first visit to this resort was in 2005 and I've been back many times, it may sound like the old cliche but for me, Tuxpan is my home in Cuba.
The personnel, from management all the way to the guys fixing your chair at the beach are on a mission: to make your stay as pleasant as possible. My room is always comfortable, the service is second to none, the food is simple but well made, plenty of fruit and salads. Looking forward to my next visit.

My mom and i went for a mother daughter trip to Veradero Cuba. It was my first time in Cuba! We had a great time! The Hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. It was challenging at first but we were able to find hot-spots for wifi. The meals were to par. Note if you're not looking for fancy drinks or fancy food; you'll have a great time! The fish at the small bar by the ocean was Amazing! The ocean is gorgeous😍. We went to two caves an had an awesome adventure!! Our rooms were nice, clean and had a great view! There was a night life but we only made it twice! Town shopping was fun. Overall we had a great time! Definitely would go back, again!☺

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Tuxpan. Didn't want to leave! The beach is absolutely fantastic and the main attraction. Other newer and fancier resorts dont have a beach like this. Nicer than anything we have experienced on Mexico's Mayan Riviera, including Tulum. No weeds or sargassum. You can walk out at least 200ft before you can't touch bottom. $20 CDN 1 hour snorkle trips right from the beach on a hobbie cat - only 2 or 3 people per boat. Many, many, many fish! In about 15 ft of water and incredible visibility. Enough on the beach...

The hotel was about 40% capacity so you could always get a chair and palapa or one around the pool. Never was less than half the chairs available. Pools were large and warm enough even in February. Swim up bar was great too.

Food was plentiful and not as bland as we expected. Good selection, but sometimes missing things like butter or lettuce. Only had a pasta bar 1 night in 14. Service was very good. Did get a bit repetitive, but the food was good enough. Drinks were plentiful and poured generously, but mostly rum and beer. No fruit drinks like pina coladas or margaritas. Mexico was way better on this, the drinks did get a bit repetitive. They did have a really good coffee bar upstairs, serving about 20 different coffee drinks from espresso to Spanish coffee. They looked as good as they tasted.

We met many there who had been there dozens of times and we would go back there next time in Cuba for sure. If you want luxury, try one of the larger and newer resorts. This one was just the right size and we quickly became familiar with all the staff. Room to beach is only about 150 yards. You quickly feel like family here.

We went on our reading week about a group of 10 of us all in our early 20’s! We highly recommend this resort over a higher end resort. Our flight got cancelled so we got put into a fancy resort down the road and it does not have the same Tuxpan touch.

The workers at Tuxpan were the absolute best. Always smiling and it felt like a family since it was a smaller resort. So friendly and positive atmosphere. The beach is so much better and the pool is big enough. The rooms were kept clean and we enjoyed our time and missing mojito man.

Staff went above and beyond! Best first time in cuba heheheehh

Stayed at the Tuxpan week of January 13/19. Read numerous reviews before we left and was wondering if I had made the right decision on resorts to stay at. Well turns out I picked a great one!! The hotel is older but kept very clean. If something needed to be fixed they came and handled it immediately.
The food was not Canadian food but if you starve you only have yourself to blame. My Daughter is the pickiest person in the world and she found lots she would eat.
The resort is smaller which I like, no waiting in long line ups for food or at the bars. Beach was gorgeous with lots of chairs for lounging. Security is also top notch. Felt safe and secure at all times. If rowdies started getting out of hand they were immediately dealt with and removed.
But the most enjoyable part of the trip were the amazing people that work at the resort! These people are so friendly and work so hard to do their best to please you. I will be coming back to the Tuxpan again next year and for years to come as I love this place that much!!!
You must remember that you are coming to a country that does not get much Western influence at all. They must make due with what they have, which is not alot.
So if you come to this hotel or Cuba in general expecting accommodations and food like you would get at the Hilton in downtown Toronto or LA, then stay home because you will be disappointed.

Writing this review after staying here for 3 days. I am really glad that I picked this hotel. First of all, staff is always friendly and nice, some of them might be a bit moody, but it doesn't bother me. Hotel is beautiful amd in a great location. Beach is literally 2-5 minutes walk from hotel (depends how fast you are walking). Amenities here are great. Also there is a 24/7 bar near the pool which also has snacks, so you can always get a burger or hot sandwich at any time of the day or night. Barmens are kind as they do give plenty of alco for your coctails. Every evening there is some show, dances, music going on near that bar. Also you can change your currency to cuc just here at the reception. Basically outstanding hotel for their 4 stars!

Super Hotel with a lot of entertainment going on all day. The pool bar and pools are huge with plenty of chairs. Nice beach, too. All the staff are very helpful with any kind of information. Close to the golf course and a north american style mall. Only a short bus ride into downtown or take the trip to see all the other hotels. I am coming back here for sure!

I've been reading the reviews and we are coming for two weeks on jan 11 2020..I'm hopefully are Ocean view room will just be clean with no mold we paid extra let's pray with a smile for the best so we want to come again.here we come cuba❤ we miss you❤

Magnific!! Everything perfect, food super good!!(inside the cuba limits offcourse), the best is that food is 100% natural, no OGM, no chemical products. The fruits and vegetables have their real flavors.

Excellant hotel alot of repeat clients everyone knows each other! Good food good rooms 24 hour bar and snacks! Been going here 10 years...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tuxpan with 5 star staff, entertainment and world-class beach. I will definitely be back. Small resort with cozy atmosphere.

The Hotel was OK and I was very please to have known my chambermaid MARTA ON THE 4 FLOOR, very atentive with her job and extreme attention with details, friendly, very knowlegable with her job, I guarantee she is a great asset to the Hotel and will be back,

My hubby and I love the tuxpan ...we stayed there 3times already and plan to go back this year the staff is the best ..food we thought was good beach is the best
