Xanadu Mansion (Dupont House)

Best Food and View!
This beautiful Historic house was one of the highlights of our trip.
It is set approximately half way up the Varadero Peninsula, fronting on the Sea and backing onto the magnificent Varadero Golf Course.
Historically maintained, with cliff-top views over-looking the Sea and the golf course.
We had an absolutely fantastic meal there as well. Michelin quality Star restaurant!

Definitely the best restaurant in Varadero, we took lamb and fish it was really tasty. You absolutely need to try it ! We had a warm reception and great service + the mansion and the view is worth a stop.

Mansion is well maintain after all these years...its a beautiful place😍... Staff very friendly, super nice and always willing to find accomodations for our needs...the view its amazing!!!!

Haven't slept or eaten there, so can only comment on the premises, which looked very nice.

Originally built as a mansion for the DuPont family, the building is absolutely beautiful. The upstairs bar is fabulous to come for a drink or just a great Capucino. And the meals in the main floor dining area are terrific. Definitely worth a cab ride from your resort to get a better feel for the history of the area. Loved it.

Nice place. Former DuPont mansion. Be sure to take the guided tour and also see the basement wine cellar. Tip the guide well and they will tell you all about the houses history.

The beach out front is a great place to swim. Take an esky or something with Ice and some cold drinks.

Note: they don’t take Cuban currency and in USD/Euro the prices are a rip off.

Great little place we did not stay here but visited a few times in the evenings for a meal, right on the beach and after you have eaten you can go up to the rooftop bar for a few nice cold drinks.
We had a tour of the place bedrooms were lovely bathrooms all marble walls and floors.
Food was spot on and not to expensive, we did how ever have to pre order any chicken meals in advance other wise there was none.
So when booking if you are going to want chicken ask if they can supply it.
Staff very friendly and welcoming building and grounds very clean.

Lovely house to visit if your in varadero Cuba lots to see and do and you can go to the driving range it’s great make sure you check out the bar staff are wonderful Havana club drink and you can also what the sun go down while have a drink 👌🏻

This is a great place to hit up the roof top bar and garb a drink after a round of golf, or if your looking for some views. you can also take a tour of the Dupont Mansion as well if you would like. The bar has windows on both sides to look out at the course/ocean or the beach/ocean depending on which way you want to sit, and on the course side there is a roof top balcony which is great to sit out and enjoy the sunshine with your beer, or mixed drink!

Been here several times and still cannot wait to go back.

All I can say is WOW...its almost Frozen in time. Such impeccable architectural design and preserved. You can actually stay there $225 CUC includes lunch and dinner and 18 holes on the family golf course nestled beside the Beautiful Ocean

What a wonderful place to have a relaxing meal with friends . The staff and service was top notch . Our next trip to Cuba will definitely include another stop at the Xanadu Mansion and maybe play some golf this time : )

I Visited and was given a tour of the Dupont Mansion it is a beautiful eight room accommodations with wonderful golf grounds. Wine cellar and a restaurant . Further interest in the Zanadu Masion aka Dupont Estate would like to stay as a guest and give it a full review on all

Amazing place excellent view

Had a great time here for out anniversary last year. Food was good and rooms were cute. its old though, so it needs some updating here and there.

Feeling of history and luxury. Nice bar on the top with excellent view. Proffesional staff will describe all details about house and cuba. All recomendation for visit.

If you're in Veradaro and you don't go here for a meal I really feel sorry for you. Excellent food, beautiful setting, and a fantastic wine cellar.

A place we have lunch, try out the famous local mojito , live music during lunch, it’s relaxing and yummy , after lunch, the walk outside the building and down to beach, windy but nice view
