La Bodeguita Del Medio (Varadero)

The place is great and the prices are reasonable. The wait was a bit long. You can feel the Cuban atmosphere here. We ordered BBQ Lobster and Lobster in Tomato and both plates were really good. I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends. Thank you.

We had the pleasure of dining at La Bodeguita Medio Varadero several times during our stay at a nearby AirBNB. The food was always fresh and delicious and the service quick and friendly. The prices are also very reasonable in CUP. Selection and price does change from day to day. Drinks are also good and well priced. The live music adds great ambience. If you have only ever eaten at all-inclusive resorts in Cuba please do yourself a favour and venture outside of the hotel property and try some local Cuban dishes. We will certainly be returning here on our next trip.

Very nice place with a very tasty lobster. The prices are really good, service and food as well. Is a perfect stop after a day at the beach in Varadero, highly recommend.

Best place in Varadero! Really good food (try the lobster and the yuca en mojo), very tasty! And they have the best mojitos in town :)
Ok the waiters are a bit grumpy but the live band playing makes up for it. We went there four times and weren’t disappointed :)
And the price is unbeatable

Recommended, the lobster for lunch is delicious and cheap, and the mineral water here is probably the cheapest in Varadero at only 50CUP. They don’t sell beer and coke, but they have bartenders; the service is very good, the price is very transparent, and there is no service fee. Will go a second time;

I visited in June, 2023. Two locals had recommended this restaurant for their lobsters and mojitos. I ordered their grilled lobster and mango juice. Both were very good! Portions were good as well. The staff were really friendly. They also had live music while we were waiting for our food. I was seated in their covered patio, but I did see that they also have indoor seating. This restaurant does have more than one location.

Best place to get a glimpse of Cuban food and music at a very reasonable price! Service is prompt, live performers are great and almost home cooked food is some of the best I had in Varadero! Must visit if in Varadero. Lobster grilled and enchiladas, tamal, tostones and ajiaco was my go to order for everyday I was there 😁

I loved this place, definitely one of the better places in Varadero and affordable...it's super close to the beach and not in the slightest like its namesake in Havana. But the food was excellent as were the drinks, especially canchanchara and carajillo. Service also excellent.

Visited this as part of Sugar Cane and Cigar tour with The Holiday Place. One of the best excursions we had the whole time in Varadero. The experience was superb. The resident live band amazing. Even allowed me to play a tune with them! The food! Wow! We had the beef and chicken. The black bean sauce was yum!! The old fella with the white hair (see my photos with this review) was super charming and energetic from the time we got there till we left.

Very tasty food. I would recommend the chicken. I loved the desert with fried yuca! There was air conditioning which was a life saver. The music was sometimes too loud though.

Foreigners, this is the local restaurant you don’t want to miss, great great food, great people, great music, love here. Must come in Varadora.

Very lively and cheap place, perfect when having lunch after a beach morning! They serve the best, most tender lobster enchilada I've ever tasted. Amazing ambience with live Cuban music

We have been here for some days. Tried different restaurants (touristic ones with only dollars to be paid and many local ones with only pesos). This is by far the best restaurant!! They vary with food (as available) which is normal. But they have the best mojito in the are and the food was a blast. Many people every evening. 10/10 here! Gogogo!

What more can be said about this famous establishment that hasn’t been mentioned already. The atmosphere (live music, patio sitting area) and food are amazing. The staff is attentive and it was one of the few places I was able to enjoy some ice cold Cristal Extra (local Cuban beer)….and let us not forget it is literally across the street from the beautiful beach, perfect spot for some pre or post beach eats and drinks.

Try the garlic shrimp and black bean soup. There are several other great choices too!

An ambient/lively restaurant with live music serving tasty Cuban dishes. This became are favourite restaurant in Varadero and even though it is located in other cities- Trinidad, Havana, they served the best food at the Varadero location.
