Fairway Market

My favorite local supermarket to shop at. I love getting their $5.99 breakfast before shopping. The Chinese takeout and sandwiches is also good here for food on the go.

If you need Asian ingredients then look no further. I'm constantly coming back because I simply cannot find the same items anywhere else in town.
The frozen section is particularly interesting as there is always something new. Check it out if you haven't!

If you are looking for Asian products and foods. You can find it here. They have Filipino frozen vegetables and foods. As well as Asian fresh produce.

Great assortment. It feels like you are touring other Asian countries coming. I feel at home.

They have Chinese food sold here. You can either dine in or take out.

Thank you to the guy who added more fried rice to my order because I feel like he gave me a scant amount. So I requested him to add some more.

This place is a very unique grocery store in Nanaimo, for specialty food items, and love the different extra cuts of meat to make stocks and such, other ethic specialty items.

Really good selection of meats, and varieties of cuts. Good store for produce and specialty foods. Good source for Asian foods.

Nice clean location. Lots of unique selections. Everything was fresh and looked delicious. They had Asian cuisine hot and ready. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a bathroom for customer use. I will be shopping here a lot more.

The Chinese food is so good and if the grocery Store as many things, you can't get in save on foods Coming from Manitoba, we lof craft mayonnaise and I am so surprised that most stores jn BC s don't carry it. I have had their sushi twice in a week. After having a bad experience a few years ago I’ve been reluctant to eat sushi but sometimes I crave it! So being a new employee in the mall i decided to try their sushi because it looked so good!! And it is absolutely delicious! Thankfully I work only 3 days a week cause otherwise I’d be buying it everyday! Which probably wouldn’t be a bad thing anyway lol Thanks fairway and the staff are always wonderful!

The Fairway Market at NNTC is around the corner from London Drugs, and just past the liquor store.

Regularly open 7am to 9pm, Fairway is our neighbourhood's go-to grocery, with its own bakery and deli, a large produce section, and a wide selection of groceries for Asian food.

As staffing permits, the store serves breakfast daily until 11am, and after 11am, Chinese food meals from a buffet until 6 to 7pm, for take-out and eat-in. There are plenty of tables by Fairway's entrance from the mall (near the lottery kiosk), both inside the store and in the mall hallway.

Parents with small children might want to park by the lovely little playground on the West side of the mall, and go in via the mall entrance there. (Fairway generally keeps its mall wall open into the mid afternoon.)

Look in the Nanaimo News Bulletin for the weekly Fairway flyer; their advertised sale prices start each Thursday.

Regular customers are quick to check the discount bins and carts by the dairy products and deli corner.

The Nanaimo North Town Centre parking lot has marked wheelchair parking spots in front of Fairway, with easy access to the store. The store itself has a level entrance with motion-activated doors from the parking lot [my dog loves walking past them].

My local market! Great staff and all kinds of delicious food. They have an awesome hot counter and sandwich selection as well as a large selection of ramen noodles if you are looking for a meal to go.

I love this place. They carry all the foods I prefer to eat, from all over the world. The offerings in the meat department are always fantastic. Why don't the other grocery stores offer the same value? And then the staff, like Micheal on the floor and Hannah on the till are friendly, professional and quick to serve. I wish there was a local grocer like Fairway where I lived but it's well worth the trip every time. The deli/restuarant is also tasty and full value. Treat yourself and your family.

So much awesome packed into one store. Cooking Asian recipes and you're not on the south end of the city? Fairway Market is the answer! Plus they have bacon on sale for just $3.99/lb

If you like Asian noodle soup, this is the store for you. Lots to choose from in that department. And they have delicious take away food (my favourite is the lemongrass chicken and fried rice. Yummy!

I've only shopped here a few times, but the experience so far has been very positive. So far this reason, I'll give it five stars.

Without fairway we would not be able to make any of the amazing Japanese meals. THE ASIAN FOOD AISLE IS THE BEST IN TOWN. They sell rare items you probably don't know about but anyone with a connection to Asia knows its worth.

Very friendly staff. Helpful. Love the variety of foods. I moved from Vancouver, and have had a tough time finding foods from the east.
