Longwood Brew Pub & Restaurant

Yesterday, August 4th, we had a family gathering in the private room of the restaurant. 16 people were present and we had the salmon and chicken buffet. The food was wonderful and certainly enough for all to get filled up. The staff who served us were very pleasant and served us well. We really enjoyed the time there and thanks to the staff.

My husband and I had the blackened salmon with prawns and awesome vegetables and the baby back ribs with vegetables and potatoes. Gourmet made high quality food by great chefs 🧑‍🍳 you have!

I hosted a private party for my sisters birthday and 20 friends and family. We were able to rent the private room upstairs which was set out beautifully for us.
We had several menu options for a group as large as ours including a hot buffet with options to suit our preferences.
We had a server just for us, K, who was friendly, accurate, and kind.
The chef, C, stayed and carved our beef before we all sat to enjoy a delicious meal that met every expectation we had. Delicious, hot, and beautifully served.

Had a great meal here. Krystal our server was awesome! I had the special but asked her to sub out the wings and the kitchen staff was super accommodating. Meal was delicious as well!

Great service and great food at a great price!

Great restaurant. Nice decor with lots of windows and a fireplace. We came for late lunch and had a quesadillia, fish tacos and side of onion rings.

The veggie quesadillia shell seems to be house made, it's both soft on the inside and crunchy on the ends. It was nice, I recommend it. She confirmed I wanted the yellow peppers. They add a nice bite, although, I don't mind a bit of spice especially when they add so much to the dish.

We also took the waitresses suggestion and went for the fish tacos. Also pretty good and worth trying.

I really like onion rings and they put a bit of a spin on them. We think they use a fish and chips type of better for them. Whatever it is, they were yummy and it was a good size potion, more than enough to share.

Food tasted good. Portions were small compared to price. Nice atmosphere. Long wait time even when the place was not busy.

Excellent service even during the busy holidays season. Tasty food and unbelievably good drinks. We sat in a cozy spot next to the window and the fireplace. Our server was attentive and personable. Absolutely loved this place in Nanaimo.

Great location and tasty food. We are lucky to get a nice table in the patio area, with a nice view! Service was great and the the timing of food to get serve is just right, we didn't need to wait that long even they are crazy busy for lunch rush! Kudos to the the entire staff! Great team work!

Recently visited the Longwood Brew pub .( First time)The outside patio was great. The server and food where amazing. Great place to hangout. Tried these little Yorkshire beef sliders Yum.

Fantastic experience at this family restaurant. There is a pub/lounge on the lower level. The upper is a very nice restaurant. The service was very friendly and accommodating to allergies (dairy). The house beer was very flavourful and smooth. Highly recommend the Steak Mushroom bowl, so good.

Great location, cozy atmosphere with nice patio. Friendly staff and tasty food. The calamari with blueberry pepper is really good. Reliable and local. They will make you feel welcome.

Excellent food, such variety and interesting combinations. So yummy & really enjoyed Baked Alaska for dessert. Another great meal again tonight, celebrating 40 years of marriage.

We had the best dinner there for my father in laws birthday. We had a party of 9 and all of our meals came out quickly and exactly what we ordered. The staff were wonderful about asking us parents if the children could have drink refills. We felt very well taken care of. Will be back for sure.

Smooth and refreshing beer with a delicious burger. What's not to love.

Great beers, nice patio, and our food was delish. Nice to have cheese on the beef dip, and pretty much the best salmon burger I've had. Will be back!

Perhaps the best brewery in Nanaimo? I would say so! Visit them for amazing locally brewed beer and lip smacking food on the side!
Regardless of what you order, please remember to ask for ‘MacKenzie’. She is simply the BEST hostess.

This restaurant-pub has a great fireplace which contributes much to its ambience. Try the nachos, even the small order is a lot for 2 people. Excellent service even during bad winter weather conditions.

Currently we are visiting from Winnipeg and I'm traveling with my husband, my 6 year old and my 1 year old and I couldn't get enough of Longwood Brew Pub! The staff were so incredibly accommodating and friendly! From the hostess to our waitress, Pam! Pam was lovely and attentive. :) We ordered some salads (I can't remember exactly which ones) but they were both tasty and the crab cakes. They were very filling and delicious! My husband and I ordered some flights and each beer was very tasty, especially the Stout! The merchandise they sell is also very reasonably priced, with a tshirt costing $15. A crew neck was $25. If you're planning a brew tasting and want some beer, stop here! This place rocks!
