I love this store. I usually find what I'm looking for and my favourite part is the gift section. I can usually find the perfect last minute gift. Prices are reasonable. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

One of the best Chapters/Indigos I have ever been to personally. That had an amazing in-store selection and even had some hard to find books I was looking for! Very clean and spacious as well.

Lots of options for you and your kiddos. Great toy and book section for kids + there's a Starbucks attached to the store for quick pick me ups. As always Starbucks washrooms are clean.

As with all Chapters, the staff at the Mary Ellen location is always very friendly and will move mountains to help you find what you're looking for. Their selection is extensive, and anything not in stock can be brought in quickly.
My only complaint is that they have too many compelling items at the impulse buy table, so I usually grab things that were not on my list!

It has everything I want! I can spend hours browsing the store. Great location too, in the same parking lot as the mall!

There is so much to see. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And of course it is quite convenient to have Starbucks right on site.

Really nice Chapters. I go there every now and pick up manga.
Lots of parking available, a great book selection, as well as other knickknacks, like candles and pillows. There is also a Starbucks attached.

It's a big box store, yes, but they do it right. They are the first place I've ever noticed to have their employees' name tags feature their pronouns! Love an inclusive workplace. Plus I can get anything there from gifts to toys to candles to clothes to, of course, books!

Good supply of books, super helpful staff, and last of all, SUCH A QUIET ENVIRONMENT!! Unlike many current bookstores, they have lots of seating and tucked away chairs. LOVE THIS PLACE

as soon as we walked in to the store we were greeted by helpful associates that took us directly to the things we were looking for. good selection of squishmallows and i was impressed with the wedding card i ended up buying for a friend of mine

Very good selection of books. Was looking for stock trading books and they had exactly the ones I was looking for. Lots of other great stuff as well. My family visits Chapters monthly. The staff at the Nanaimo store is great.

What's not to like?
A variety of books and related items plus a bit of home decor and a coffee shop in the same space ( if you go when they are both open).
There were a lot of people shopping ( Saturday) and a high ratio of staff available in the store to assist as well as those taking payment so the line, if there was one, to pay went quickly.
I don't love that the courtesy computers for searching the store/online are no longer an option; they all had signs letting you know to use your phone or ask staff for assistance. Wonder if they will phase out or, is it just a temporary precaution as they would be high touch and need constant cleaning.
It didn't stop me from buying a book both times I've been in the past month. I just like the bigger screen over using my phone.

Great selection, of course, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Awesome place to buy books! Always lots of sales, and is a great place to find any school supplies you might need.

Ya ya it's chapter's, the don't need my review to gain business. However I give a solid 5 stars to the Nanaimo location. Crazy busy second last shopping Sunday before Christmas, store was packed and big line ups. Here's the 5 stars.....they had EVERY till open and chewed thru the line up. Well done management, this is how you keep people happy and not having them putting stuff down and walk out. Appreciated
