Such a great place to visit for a meal and beverage and feel like you're completely at home. I so loved the games and books room, and the opportunity to play a game even at your table. What a great idea!!!

What a gem. So many creative and delicious drinks, so many beautiful treats, and loooots of books, crafts, art, and jewelry. It really feels like a home made from love. Board games, local art, and so many tastes of community sprinkled into this space.

Castlegar is lucky to have this gorgeous place.

I get a smoothie for lunch everyday at work here. Everyone is so friendly, everything tastes amazing, and they have the best paper straws ever. I forgot about my drink for an hour and the straw was still perfectly good!

It screams welcome to a comfy place. Whether if you come in just for a quick cup of coffee or a spot to settle down for a while, it's super friendly. If you are an extreme coffee lover you can manage to fill a card to get whatever your heart desires within it.
!!PLUS!! You can or may see dogs when you are here to order, not sit ins. During the summer there is an area where you can sit with your dogs outside.

The food is awesome ultra amazing, the cookie is unique the complex texture while it would be beloved by folks who are chocolate lovers. With that its amazing to plop in a cozy booth and get a few games rolling!

Totally recommended for folks needing a place to go with friends, new folks in the area to get the Castlegar feel. If you wish to also take home a memory or a cool souvenir, you can do that by supporting the local artists that are shown throughout the Humble Bean. 😁

Very nice exclusive atmosphere. This is one of the few places in this area where you can try many different types of tea. In addition, you can sit comfortably in a booth. Highly recommend.

I just moved to the area and this has become my go to coffee shop! All of the staff there are lovely and treat every one of their customers with the utmost kindness and best service! Not to mention, they have fabulous drinks, I especially like their frozen blended ones! If you’re looking for that small town coffee shop, this is all the buzz. :)

I love the Humble Bean, the owners Mike and Kim are wonderful people and their staff is so friendly as well. Great atmosphere, food, awesome place to socialize. I actually do not drink coffee but I can brag about their varieties of teas, oh so yummy and I have yet to try them all. The Humble Bean has become a tradition to go with my grandchildren, enjoy the treats, drinks and play games.

Humble Bean Coffee Co. is truly remarkable in many ways. The staff are some of the kindest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. The facility is clean, inviting, and absolutely beautiful. And the drinks! Oh! Please allow yourself the opportunity to let them speak for themselves. The talent of these baristas and quality of the product they use, go unmatched! I have nothing but love for this place and the owners.

This is a great community-minded coffee shop with everything you'd expect on a typical coffee bar menu. The staff seem happy to be at their jobs and the vibe is very trendy and artisan. There are lots of little trinkets and treasures to purchase while you wait for your drink.

Great lavendar tea latte, and wonderfully rich brownie!

Not much of a coffee drinker. But I go there and they seem to be able to give me something that THEY know I might need.

Unbelievable friendly staff. Coffee is out of this world as is the pastries and Caesar Salad Wrap. I hit this place up every time I go into Castlegar.

First time was amazing. Delicious dark roast and excellent service.

Although at times a little chaotic, a little disorganized and a little confusing… I’ve never been part of such an incredible team. The energy in Humble is pure magic. This is a safe place to make mistakes and learn to fix them. This is a fun place where play is one of the rules, and a little bit of trouble is a job requirement. The owners Mike and Kim, as well as the manager Sally work hard to make their customers feel loved and their employees know they’re valued.

They also make really good coffee… Every cup is made with time and care. There is no line long enough that can change that espresso shots are weighed and timed perfectly.

There’s been a recent addition of a variety of wonderful baking done by one of the loveliest regulars Lori. She’s a kitchen wiz…

So if you ever find yourself in the neighbourhood pick up a coffee and an almond spice biscotti! You won’t leave just with what you’ve purchased. You’ll leave with a bigger smile, a lighter heart, and at times a stomach ache from laughing so hard.

Very good experience. A local friend recommended the place and it certainly didn’t disappoint; coffee was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Don’t forget to check out their local post board. Who knows, if you are lucky, you can leave with a free rooster… well, at least the contact info for a local who has posted the ad on their community post board.

Still my favorite coffee shop after 3 years of living in Castlegar. Strong community values, genuine people, and excellent drinks. I see Humble Bean as the center of the downtown area and I hope that new shops use them as a shining example of how to make this blossoming town more inviting.
