Had the chicken cordon blue burger with onion rings and my companion had the stuff Yorkies. Everything was delicious but Yorkies could have had a horseradish with them. Good atmosphere

The food was very yummy. Large portions for me. The ambiance is amazing. So many different stained glass pieces and vintage light fixtures to look at. This place is a sight and taste experience.

Just passing through town and found this awesome gem! Felt like a regular after meeting the wonderful owners and conversing with the super folks of the town. A true neighborhood pub with wonderful ambiance! Doesn't look like much from outside but beautiful interior and great vibe! Will definitely visit again when in town! Thanks Steve!

Found this place just on Google maps while we were visiting the area. Cute little place, service was fun - food was good!
Loved seeing (what I'm assuming) locals just coming in and sitting with each other.
We will definetly reccomend or come back if we are ever in the area again.

Best pub in Castlegar!

We were in Castlegar, for a girls volleyball tournament the next day. Sitting in hotel looking at google for a place to eat for myself and 2 girls, came Cross Cartwrights pub, girls liked the menu and decided to give it a go. This is not a big flashy place from the street, trust me go inside! It is the definition of a neighborhood pub. The decor reminded me of European with stained glass on the wall. If you have ever gone into a joint that has been using g the same deep fry oil forever you smell it. Not here, the deep fry going on smelled great, and the place was neat and tidy. We had deep fried pickles and fish tacos to start, the pickles were very good, hot and fresh. The fish tacos, I would put these baby's up against the best ones I have ever had, great fish and very fresh veg slaw. Girls had chicken burgers, fries and waffle fries. They could barely get the burgers done. I had the steak sandwich, cooked perfect and seasoning was simple salt pepper and little onion powder I think. Sooo good, not overpowering the meat. The waitress was very efficient and friendly. Excellent job. Do not let the little sign out front fo you. You don't need to be flashy to be great!

Wonderful meal. Pleasantly surprised. You can sure see why this is a favorite with the locals. We sampled Yorkies and the Mushroom Veal burger. Both were delicious. Would order them again.

Nice local pub. We went for wing night and the wings were really good. I tried thr calamari also which was great. Really good service! Nice patio to watch cars and wild turkeys go by lol

What a great place! Atmosphere is cool, lots of character inside, lots to look at! Food was great and reasonably priced, Good portion size too! Kim our server was excellent too! Friendly and great service! We will most certainly be back!

Great service, great food and a very custom and unique interior to enjoy! We came on Sunday and got wings on special at a great price WOW. Our waitress was very personable and we enjoyed our visit here very much! Such a great experience. Will be coming back again!
