Mount Stilwell Walk

Great trail.
Lots of wildflowers.
Made it to the top with 6 and 9 year old.
Last few hundred meters were hard for them.
Our 3 year old walked nearly to the top of it. Didn’t quite make it though.

The descent was super quick. It took us about 2 hours to get to the top and about 40 min to get back down.

Parking is a. It of a pain. But doable.

You will need a day pass to get into the national park.

Nice somewhat easy walk. Path is well marked. It is an interesting mix of sun on one side and chill wind on the other. View from the top is really nice. Parking at Charlottes Pass is a nightmare. You need to park along way from the track due to the busyness of the place.

Nice hike, steep.

The walk is a short and easy track from Charlotte Pass. Recommended for every visitor.

The hike up was cold and steep. Not too long, as it's only around 2km up to the top. The view was nice, albeit misty.

Little did I know that the hike up was to be followed by an absolute nightmare of events on the way down. Countless wolf spider attacks. On my legs, shoulders, bag, neck. No part of my body was safe from these awful creatures. You cannot tell me that God exists when he allows these things to walk the earth. They are relentless and unkillable as they have the ability to teleport from limb to limb as you try helplessly to swat them off. My girlfriend even had one manage to get down the front of her shirt... And that's something I'll never forget.
Thankfully I was not bitten, but by the time I got to the car, I wished I had, just so I could save my mind from the sheer trauma of the experience.

Otherwise it was nice, quite scenic.
