Jade Inn Port Douglas

This is an absolute must try Chinese restaurant. Family run and the service is fantastic. The food is cooked per order, so always hot and they accommodate dietary requirements if any. My wife and I changed our plans just to get another visit to Jade Inn on our most recent trip to PD. The honey chicken and Mongolian lamb were both the best we have tasted and the in-house prawn crackers were great!
We will most certainly be back next time we are in Port Douglas.

As fresh walkins to a fully booked restaurant out party of 4 were hopeful of a table but not really expecting it to be available. However, the staff were so accommodating: they rearranged furniture so we could ‘sit on the bench’ seat outside. The service was exceptional, drinks, menu explanations and adjustments if necessary. All dishes and ‘snacks’ are made on site and were delicious. We really enjoyed our meal, left completely satisfied. Highly recommend!

The food at Jade Inn was delicious and one of the best restaurants in Port Douglas!!! We had dinner here for our last night and we wish we found it sooner! The dumplings were made fresh in house and the dim sims were amazing - best we’ve ever had. Oh and the chicken and cashew nut… so yummm! Highly recommend!

I have been to Jade Inn twice during my trip to Port Douglas, the food was that delicious.
The service we received was excellent, with the staff ensuring all dietary requirements, if any, were met.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and relaxed also.

This Chinese restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations.. even though they were under staffed, the staff was still so friendly and surprisingly attentive to their customers needs. They were full of energy and full of positivity in their service.

The food was also awesome with nothing to fault.. we had the fried rice, sweet and sour pork and beef chow mein.. everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, just as I would expect in a high quality Chinese restaurant.

Lunch at Jade Inn today was one of the best Chinese meals we have had in a very long time. The homemade steamed dim sims and satay chicken skewers were so good. Sichuan chicken stir fry and the beef strips were also amazing. Yummy clean and fresh food. Would def recommend this restaurant.

Best Chinese ever had. Not greasy, fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. Staff extremely friendly and great service.

Amazing. We made an early dinner reservation for myself, my partner & 2 young daughters. I was extremely impressed with the service & the food was impeccable!! Looking forward to our next visit so we can come back. If you love Chinese food, Jade Inn is a MUST!

This is a great modern and traditional Chinese food restaurant with a warm friendly vibe. Food is incredible with great value for money. The staff are friendly and talkative and the sweet and sour pork and hand made dim sims are amazing.

Oh my, we often frequent this restaurant and enjoy it immensely. Tonight though was extraordinary with the best food we’ve had in ages. We had pork dumplings, vegetarian samosas and king prawn with garlic and cashews and rice…outstanding service and food..can’t wait to return. Dave and Judi. Just wish I’d taken photos as I usually do but all too scrumptious to wait.

The food was delicious. The special fried rice was fluffy and yummy.

Ever excellent Chinese restaurant situated in the heart of Macrossan Street. We've been coming here for several years and the standard has never faltered. Great range of international beers and wines. Service is friendly, attentive and efficient. As with anywhere in Port Douglas, depending on the time of year, it can be a good idea to book but more than once we've got lucky in getting a table even without a booking. Sweet and sour chicken is my favourite: lightly battered, perfect balanced flavour with just a touch of ginger shining through. Highly recommended!

An absolute unexpected delight. The best sweet and sour chicken I have ever tasted! Steamed dim sims also a must. Fresh & delicious food. Will be back for sure!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The owner so happened to be our server for the evening, and both my friend and I cannot sing his praises enough. He is clearly passionate about the restaurant as it is a family business and wants to ensure everyone has an incredible time dining there. He engaged in conversation and gave personal recommendations about what to eat and drink along with a bit of history behind the food options and what was on the menu. Providing us with clear details as to his vision and his beliefs for the restaurant and the food. We will absolutely visit again when we are in Port Douglas next!

Enjoyed the fab seafood/prawn toast entree that we have had many years in the past and the mains were also very delicious.'A lovely evening and great friendly service

This is simply great Chinese food. Simple and straight forward menu options, but executed brilliantly. The sweet and sour pork has lovely crunchy batter, and the sauce is delicious. The specials of chicken ribs and 5 spice prawns were wonderfully tasty and very more-ish. We've walked past this place so many times and not gone in because we were deceived by the simple menu... what a mistake that has proven to be!

My go to happy place is Jade Inn Port Douglas! Every bite is pure delight. Dine in, take out it's all a superb experience.

I entered with a frown after a rough day and left with a smile after a great meal!

We have dined many times at Jade Inn, & thought the food was always very good (comparable or better than Chinatown/Melb). Last night was exceptional, they have gone to another level - also the front of house staff were fast, efficient & very friendly.
