Cafe at Provincial Ballarat

Despite being peacefully hidden upstairs we spotted it from the side street through the giant picture window, which gives it a very open, light and spacious vibe when you're sitting up there. We were in a group with overseas visitors and just finished visiting Sovereign Hill and seeking a late lunch. We were not disappointed with the offerings, including vegan choices and yummy beverages. Staff were all kind, friendly and professional. I was pleased that our European visitors got a good impression.

Nice place to be seat down, relaxed, reading a book even just by yourself. Food is excellent, service is great, environment just speak itself. Been there lots of time. Every time is a great experience.

A great place for a very good coffee, yummy cakes and dog friendly. On top of a breezy lovely furniture shop, this is a good place to visit and enjoy coffee while watching the world go by.....

Good breakfast and lunch menu. Four of us there for light lunch. Two guests had the pumpkin soup special. Thick and delicious. Eggs Benedict served on rosti for another guest, looked fantastic and was a hit. I had the corned beef toastie with beetroot relish from the specials. It was very tasty and didn't disappoint. Good selection of cakes to go with coffee & tea. Friendly service in a nice bright atmosphere. Our friends from Spain thought it was great. Highly recommend. We will be back.

It’s hidden upstairs and not so visible from the street. Well worth looking. Open, light and airy space. Great coffee in good sized cups. The savory muffin would be one of the best i’ve tried, eclipsed only by the chilli scrambled eggs (pleasantly very spicy!!!).

Nice location upstairs in the furniture store. Great views. Good selection of foods. Top class coffee.

Had a fantastic lunch. The eggs were amazing. The serving size was a bit small. But that was the only thing that could be improved on. We got sandwiches to take away for later, and they were also delicious.
The lovely ladies downstairs were so helpful and friendly. They didn't mind selling me the last of one of their display items. As it was the only blanket left in the store. Really enjoyed the shopping experience. Which says a lot because I hate shopping. There are so many things in this shop that I loved.

Absolutely love this space! Food is amazing (loved the zucchini fritters with tzatziki and relish- never had I ever thought this combo would work, but it did!
Really friendly staff, really great atmosphere- it was a cold grey day in Ballarat, but the openness was so calming watching the rain.
Really lovely place, will be back for sure.

Beautiful food and drinks , if your looking for a lovely comforting meal definitely come here. I recommend the smoked salmon bagel.

Very cosy and friendly cafe above the furniture store. We had a light lunch and coffee which was very nice. They have a great selection of cakes and sweets if you’re looking for a little indulgence.
