This five star review is for Lachie who was working the day shift Friday 6th October 2023. I booked the function room upstairs for a business lunch event and had some challenges hooking up my laptop.
Lachie was an absolute superstar in helping with this and also looking after us and our guests on the day.
All the staff here were fantastic but he was a stand out.
Highly recommend this venue if you need a function room and want to be looked after. All guests enjoyed their meals and the service also. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shared a wonderful afternoon with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meals, comfortable outdoors area under cover. Lovely atmosphere and dog friendly. It's definitely a great place to be in spring, and a highlight was the Ballarat Steam Ale on tap ( up there with the best beers in the world ), transported me back to a pub in Dublin.

Called in at late notice on ‘$20 parma’ night. No problems getting a table and friendly, attentive staff !!
Schnitzel was perfectly cooked, juicy with crunchy crumbs! Chips were delicious… not my kinda gravy, but tasty!
Very enjoyable and affordable evening… maybe next time I’ll also order a salad!

We had a small work meeting here yesterday in one of the venues private dining rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They did not rush us out and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.
The food was delicious aswell.
We will definitely be recommending to everyone.

The service was awesome! Abbey and Mitch were absolutely amazing, Mitch so funny and Abbey was so so kind and helpful! Had the best meals which were so yum! Food came out very quickly. Will be coming back!

Kids love pancakes 🥞 and I love veg omelette. Enjoy your breakfast with the best view of lake wendouree. Omelette is vegetarian so it is halal friendly, for Pancake we were not sure about vanilla ice cream so we ordered without it but still taste the best. Excellent friendly service.

I keep coming back to this place. Just love it here. It has a really nice atmosphere and vibe. You can take a seat overlooking the lake and have your breakfast. So many people jogging, walking their dog or rowing outside and it's just all happening. The space inside is great and nicely decorated and clean. Lots of outside seating too. The food is great and there are lots of options. The portion size and quality are generous. Coffee is fantastic. As soon as you sit, they take the drink order which I loved because your coffee will come to you pretty much as soon as you are ready to order your breakfast. The service is fast and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Sharine was a total angel and so helpful when I forgot my card one day. Really appreciated the help.

They have heaps of areas to sit and eat.
The meal was fantastic.
Only down fall was the waiters n waitresses bringing food out did not remove any dirty dishes and glasses on there way back as there were heaps of people coming in for a table but were not cleaned. Nt a good look.

A fav place. Always take Ballarat visitors here. Good selection on the menu for breakfast lunch or dinner and kids menu. Staff are very attentive without being overbearing and always positive attitudes. There's the bistro as well as outdoor area to side of hotel. Always clean n well presented. After dinner a sunset walk is delightful.

Good food! Beautiful view, as it is next to Lake Wendouree. Top and outside seating spots. Great place for bikers riding along the Steve Moneghetti Track to grab a drink and some chips. 10/10.

Really great atmosphere, fantastic service and friendly staff. The function room upstairs is always great for our business get togethers.

My husband and I revisited here last week for lunch and once again it did not dissspoint. Even though it was a Friday, they were quite busy but we were lucky enough to be seated inside. The meal was delicious and the steaks cooked spot on. We also had carrot cake served with ice-cream for dessert. The service was exceptional and they even bought us a bottle of water without having to ask. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Ballarat.

a very nostalgic place for me to visit, I'm very picky about my milkshakes and they never disappoint !! after being away from Ballarat for 4 years it's very comforting to come back and eat the same delicious chips & aioli and get a yummy shake.
the staff are always very nice over the years I've been. :)

The food and drinks were really good, and the service was absolutely next level. Well done to your team, they all should be very proud of what they offer. Definatly our go to venue in Ballarat when we come up from Geelong. Keep up the good work
