The Source Bulk Foods

Bulk organic grains, flours, dried fruit, teas, honey, nuts and a good range of healthy nibbles. Can be more expensive than supermarkets but I think eating pesticide free grains etc is worth it. Great staff and good rewards program.

It's a bit like ALDI, in that you go in intending to buy one thing and come out with 7. The difference? The amount of plastic and pesticides you're walking out with, too. I love knowing exactly where my food comes from, and being able to buy exactly how much I need. I especially love the grains and spices. Such a win in reducing packaging. Thanks!!

Absolutely a fantastic store in which l just discovered.
Definitely worth a visit when in Ballarat, ample parking.

The Source is a beautiful oasis nestled perfectly within the supermarkets, bakery and fish shop, in the centre of town. I always save the best till last and knowing I am going to be welcomed into such a calming space after “the big shop” gets me through. Both my boys, 3 and 6 years, absolutely love the staff in The Source. We are all greeted by name and always leave with a bag of yummy treats, on top of our weekly essentials, as well as big smiles on our faces. My knowledge of health continues to grow each time I step into this gorgeous store. We have stayed well this entire year and I am truly grateful to the high-quality ingredients available at The Source, which I believe have contributed to this. Last, but not least, The Source are always my go to for gifts! The staff are incredible at helping me to put together gift boxes tailored to the individual I am thinking of. Last year I had taken on the job of arranging 7 school teachers gifts on behalf of our cohort. Janet, and her team, went above and beyond to create the most stunning hampers and the teachers were blown away. I’m looking forward to my next shop already!! :)

Staff are friendly and helpful. Great variety of products at competitive prices! Take your own containers (or buy them from the shop) and fill up on your organic ingredients. I love using one of their (free) paper bags with a few sweet treats to eat on my way home.

One of my absolute favourite stores. The staff are always helpful and full of knowledge. Can’t go past the herbs and spices in particular. They are so much fresher than what you get at the supermarket. I find something new every time I shop. Love it!

If you are one of the health conscious people, this organic shop would be your answer. There are wide array of healthy food, organic cleaning, reusable containers and zero waste idea. I was there after my jogging. I didn't mean to buy anything only browsing. But I came out with three bags of healthy and yummy snacks. Staff (Elizabeth, maybe) was amazing with knowledge and the way she was approaching customers. Products were well-displayed and well-categorised. Loved the idea of bringing your own containers to refilll your shampoo or detergent next purchase. Crispy dried mixed vegetable I would suggest to try. This shop will be my favourite place. Payment can be cash or card. You just step in and would find something you may like to try. Being healthy is easy, picking the right items at the right place.

Another wonderful visit to this fantastic store to get more dark chocolate freeze dried strawberries (my favourite treats, they are delicious!) & top up my pantry staples. I experienced the usual amazing service by super friendly, knowledgeable & helpful staff. We’re all so lucky having this wonderful store as part of the Ballarat community. I cannot fault this store! Janet and her team were generous enough to provide our local kindergarten with some donations for our fundraising event. The donated jars of brownie, Anzac mix, lentil coconut soup and cheesy vegan pasta looked so great as gifts and were an absolute hit for our event.

I have also been a customer at this store for a little while now and love the range of healthy snacks and nuts. So moorish!

Absolutely love this place! Firstly the staff go above and beyond for their customers.. As a mother of 3 small children I find their delivery service to be so helpful to our family.. the online shop is very easy to use and the delivery is very quick !
I also love that they have so many gf and vegans options as well :)

A great assortment of organic, bulk food from teas and coffees to grain, honey, flours, seeds and everything you need to make healthy food. Their carob rocky road is yum!

I could not speak more highly of the staff at the Ballarat Source. Whether it is in store or delivery, the service received is exceptional.

On a recent visit to the Ballarat Store I was most impressed how the staff handled
the ongoing Covid situation, in regard to the protocols, that must be demanding on a daily basis, congratulations girls.
I was pleased also to note the store was in pristine condition, and the attention to detail I have not experienced elsewhere. My favourite buy is the Messmate honey, it the best.

I have been a long term shopper at the Source Ballarat and I am always pleased with the product quality and assistance from their friendly staff. If I am unable to visit the store for my weekly shop I make the most of their fantastic delivery service.

As the parent of a child recently diagnosed with Coeliacs disease, I can't say how grateful I am for The Source Bulk Foods Ballarat!
Aside from their fantastic range of gluten-free (and regular) products, their quality control and thorough knowledge of product ingredients is second-to-none.
I find their staff super friendly and they are always happy to answer my questions, or even check with suppliers right there and then if I need any further information on a product!
The shop is always spotless and I appreciate the Covid-safe practices they have in place.
