Lucy Lodge

Great location for the lodge. Just jump onto you ski and the lift is 30m from the lodge. Amazing views from all rooms. Breakfast was included and lunch is avaialable in the the China King Restaurant. Lounge for guest with games and a pool on the top level. 5 stars because of value for money. Rooms are just basic.

Clean and comfortable room, a wonderful welcome and friendly staff. Great location in the valley, thank you Maisy for making our stay extra special, hope your still there when we come back. Corey and Rex

I stayed at Lucy Lodge for 5 nights as part of a package that included lift passes, transfers, and breakfast.

The overall package was good value - it was a great way to stay in Charlotte Pass and get lots of skiing in. In the rest of this review I'll leave more of the information that was hard to find online but probably good to know.

Firstly - it seems impossible to make contact over the phone. I found email much more reliable. The people I got onto by email were helpful and responsive and we were able to reschedule our transfers or change the names for the room, etc.

The rooms themselves were humble but OK. They weren't very big by any stretch but big enough. Beds were fine. Probably the biggest issue was the cold. The rooms were draughty and our room had a fire escape door leading directly to the outside. This door was poorly-sealed which meant wind could blow in and even rain or snow, through the gap around the door. This would be pretty simple to fix up. The windows weren't well-sealed either. This meant we had to run the heater alot, and even then the room was sometimes less cosy than you'd like.

There was a 'guest lounge' upstairs for the guests to hang out in which had a pool table and a TV and some couches. Pretty basic but a nice space and we had many good nights there hanging out with others.

For food, the 'continental breakfast' was basic. Because of COVID it wasn't self-serve this year. You could choose from some cereals and milk/yoghurt/tinned fruit/toast. There was no hot breakfast, other than toast. You could eat a lot though, if you wanted.

I didn't try lunch at 'China King' although I heard poor things.

The location is excellent - very close to the snow and the lifts and skiing opportunities.

Didn’t stay at Lucy lodge but had the day tripper “lunch” there at the china king restaurant. Twice in a row. Advertised hot lunch, serves sandwiches both times and yells at guests. Guest services at Charlottes pass were great when we told them what was happening, was shocked and organised us a hot lunch as promised. Would give 0 stars if I could. Other restaurants are amazing around charlottes pass.

Absolutely horrible service at the Chinese restaurant, pay for hot lunch, get a $5 servo sandwich. Person who manages restaurant is rude and does not care for customers
