This place is great! I had the dry rubbed porterhouse with a pepper sauce and it is the best that I have had in a long while! Steak was cooked to perfection, the pepper sauce was made with skill and even the salad was made with love. My partner had the crumbed pork cutlet and it was fantastic too! Will definitely be back for more of this! The staff were attentive and prompt and friendly as well! You won't be disappointed here!

Took the family for a Sunday lunch and was very impressed with the food and service. Sat outside in the beer garden, which was green and lovely. The food was excellent, especially the linguine with cauliflower, which was one of the best pasta meals I have ever eaten. The service was impeccable, with our drinks brought out within minutes. Food was relatively quick too. The staff were helpful with my dad, who is in a wheelchair, but be aware that there is a shallow step that needs to be navigated into the building and some parts of the dining area. Other than that, couldn't fault anything about the experience. Will definitely be visiting again.

Travel from Daylesford regularly with the kids for a great meal at a fair price. Can't beat the food quality and value ! Trust me , sole parenting 4 kids on a budget without skimping on quality is my past time !

We ate from the NEW MENU, our visit was July 26th 2023.
Entree -shared Chicken Katsu Sliders 2 per serving, it was very generous in size. Delicious!
I had an Entree for Main - Pulled Beef
Cheek ( melt in the mouth) on sourdough (genuine sourdough) with a topping of fried onions & parsley, another generous entree size serve, loved it.
He had a Main - Pork Belly, cant begin to say how incredible this was, super juicy meat surrounded in a cracking crackling, served with whole baby carrots & greens, sensational meal.
The staff were wonderful, the owner check in with us and the lovely lady working at the bar chatted to us after we told her how we are foodies and the meals were truly delicious. The chef was generous with information how he cooked the pork.
Great wine list too, LOVED IT ALL!
Just wish we weren’t just passing through as I’d go back again & again.

Awesome Country Pub. The Meals were amazing.. took on a Scotch fillet with sides and Mushy sauce.. cooked to perfection. 10/10.

Great food! All day meals on the weekend mean you can miss the rush and have the shady beer garden to your selves.

We stopped into Five Flags on our way through to Marong after a recommendation from a friend. We were pleasantly surprised. This is an old school pub, an old it may be but the food and service was great. We had the steak and schnitzel and they were the best we’ve had in a long time. Highly

My tipis to stop in for a beer and a meal because pubs like this are very cool and almost extinct.

Looked after beautifully when there was an error with the meal order. Would highly recommend the gnocchi, definitely had menu envy over that choice with the melt in the mouth beef cheek, yum!
