Great second hand book shop. Heaps of books of all genre and type. Sign says over 100,000 titles and it's believable. Very well set out by genre and author. I go in any time I'm travelling to Castlemaine. Highly recommended

Sooooo many books! Unbelievable amount of books! Set yourself a few hours aside in order to go through book heaven. I didn't have time to even touch the surface... amazing!

Fabulous hidden gem, well worth discovering. Generally $7-$9 for regular books (not penguins or airport smaller books. Extensive collection, owner knows where everything is which impressed me. Came away with two good Scandanavian mystery thrillers.

Great bookstore. Tons of books, pretty well organized for a large used bookstore too. And the staff was real friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful gem of a shop! Such a variety of books & some real unique finds to be had. The young woman working today was so knowledgeable & helpful, it's rare to get such outstanding customer service these days. I truly appreciate the shop's health safety policy & will be telling my friends they simply must pop in & enjoy the ambience of an old worlde book shop & the assistance of a most dedicated & charismatic book keep! Fantastic secondhand bookstore with a wide range of books on all manner of topics. Friendly service, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. Also includes vinyl records, some sheet music, DVDs and Blu-Rays, and other assorted items.

Love this bookshop. Just on the outskirts of Castlemaine on the main road, it has a huge selection of second-hand books in nearly every category. What's more the staff know where everything is!

Brilliant book shop! Always has a sale and the books are very well priced. There are so many books it sometimes feels a bit overwhelming, but when you work out the organisational system you'll find some amazing books. I've gotten many books from here and enjoyed it immensely. I lost track of time as I scoured the shelves immersed in the books. I'm sure if you enjoy reading, you'll enjoy this shop.

An extraordinary range of books, so many rooms full of old and new books in so many genres. A great destination if you're looking for a particular old book. The woman at the counter is very knowledgeable and willing to help you find a title you're after. When I visited Sep 2017 all books were 50% of the marked price. I bought a lovely 1959 first edition cookbook for $15!

Absolutely wonderful treasure trove of books in a labyrinthine old pub. I thoroughly enjoyed wandering the shelves and chatting to the very helpful guy working there. Sorry, I forgot your name. If you like books and you're ever in the neighbourhood, you should drop in.

Enormous variety of loved books. Each room had a specific genre. As an old pub, there were nine rooms. Rooms 1-9 were unique and a pleasure to enjoy. This was a true book heaven.

More books than the State Library. A bookworm's treasure trove. Take your list of wants with you and owner Ann will do her best to help. I could spend a week there and not see it all. 50% off most books too. Don't miss it.

Well worth a visit. I suggest you allow time to explore this shop. It is open daily 11-5 and the stock is organised alphabetically by author. I would say this shop has something for everyone.

The business is housed in an historic building from the 1850's and if you visit now you will have the added enjoyment of seeing the autumn leaves falling.

Really is heaven for book readers. The place is huge.
