We climbed to the top of Mt Kosciuszko. If you go have a hat that ties on, lip balm and sunscreen.
The walk was slow and steady, the scenery fantastic and worth the experience.

We went hiking yesterday and the weather so dramatically changed. It was 36 degree a day before and the day we hiked just dropped to 18 , showering and windy and sunny at the end. When we arrived it wasn't that bad ☁ so just be prepared for the weather, bring some layer with you. We went to the Mount Kosciuszko walk (Thredbo pass), so we did buy the tickets for the Chairlift (no need to buy tickets if you think you are strong enough to hike up to the mountain) to the top and walked to the beginning of the track (steal platform , some part is stone path some part still dirt path )
Overall we were very impressed with the scenery and wild flowers.

Absolutely a beautiful part of the world. The flora and fauna are unique and the amazing colours in the mountains. I'm so glad to see nature healing itself after the devastating bushfires. Well worth a visit

According to the law of nature, everything should be balanced for peaceful coexistence. The population of wild horses [Brumbies] reached a whopping 19000 at the Kosciuszko National Par at the New South Wales in Australia. With a view to cutting down the herds, the government has reportedly taken a decision to kill thousands of Brumbies. This will be undertaken in a phased manner. By using the helicopter services, around 16000 horses will be shot by 2027...

The rooftop of Australia so it’s a must-see. Not much snow this year but well worth the trip in any season. Avoid the ski resorts if you don’t like overpriced everything, noise and crowds, there are plenty of other beautiful corners to explore at your leisure!

We went through this park from Albury to Camberra and it was a lovely ride with magnificent views.
Sad to see all the dead trees but this makes a powerful memory nonetheless.

Spectacular landscape all year round. Wonderful walking tracks. Great look outs and heritage huts. Absolutely magical park. Plenty of wildlife to see. Great camping grounds. Truly a gift from nature.

The National Park is a must for those on the east coast of Australia seeking a pristine environment.

The main range track should be your first point of call. If experienced, once you track the crest just beyond the blue lake you should consider turning right and hitting the back country of the main range. More impressive and next to one else 😉

Make sure to read all posted signs and warnings. We drive an old corolla around and had no issue because we had our chains on.

Be courteous on the road because you can easily misjudge the conditions and get into an accident.

A beautiful park, with phenomenal views. My partner and I did the hike to the highest mountain peak in Australia, it was a light grade hike that took us 4 hours. The views are amazing. The national Park is well staffed with all the amenities, restaurants, toilets and everything needed to make this a great holiday.

Fantastic walk and truly breathtaking scenery.

Parked at Charlottes Pass and walked to the summit it was an easyish route due to paved trail. Good for beginner hikers. Summit views were simply beautiful.
Walked to Charlottes pass back via the main range track. This was a more difficult walk will a few inclines and declines. Last 600metres were a very steep climb up a path back to car. Ended up back at car with final distance of 23km.

All in all a great day had by everyone

I'm glad I had the chance to enjoy it this autumn. The cable lifts and other amenities are well looked after. So many activities but we did the hiking, chairlifts and bobsled. Really beautiful landscape and paradise for those who love walking and hiking. Conquering Australia's peak is really rewarding. Wildlife and vegetation are very protected and pristine.

Remember to get park permit.
Besides this Mt Kosciusko is a treasure trove of wondrous nature, camping spots, terrific fields of snow, hiking possibilities & winding roads work touring.
Remember to stock up on fuel before entering the park however.

We saw wild Brumbys, but we took the northern road. Stunning views and a lot of walks to offer! We camped there for a night - don't forget, to book yourself in, if you want to camp!

I went there thinking about what I can do there without snow. Boy was I surprised. Trout fishing, bushwalking, climbing mount Kosi, a huge selection of mountain bike tracks, thermal pools, wildlife, camping, jet skiiing, water skiing, star gazing and so much more. I would say that there's more activities to do when there's no snow than when there is. The drives are breathtaking and the views are spectacular. Wonderful place.

Definitely worth a visit during summer. High country cooler than surrounds, plus all roads and tracks are open and accessible. A huge range of camping, biking, and hiking options. If visiting during summer bring your bike.

Beautiful to explore even just for a day trip. Park entry was $29. Lots of opportunities for photos and great place to go with family. Free campground if you can't afford the ski places, no reason to miss out on a magnificent part of Australia.
