Avalanche Cafe

A gnarly cafe with heaps of atmosphere and the warmest service. Fresh pies are amazing with meaty chunks and thick gravy. Croissants are warm with melting cheese. Must give it a go when in Thredbo.

small cafe right next to Thredbo chairlift. Only tried their sausage rolls, a bit pricey due to location I suppose. But food was good and service was friendly :)!

Awesome small cafe with personable service and incredibly delicious pastries, baked on site. Most delicious sausage roll I have ever had, and my partner raved about the donuts.

Meat pies were fresh and cooked tasty, the pumpkin soup was fresh and homemade was delicious. Cinnamon scroll and carrot cake was excellent and great service.
A bit expensive but was very enjoyable thank you

Avalanche is my number one lunch spot at Thredbo. The food is always super tasty, well priced for the snow and quick. Definitely worth checking out

Located right by the lifts this is the perfect place to fuel up for the start of the day. Amazing egg and bacon rolls (baked fresh) serviced by people who know how to provide high quality service. Everyone is greeted like a familiar face with a smile and friendly hello. From my experience today I know the new husband and wife management team are going to keep this culture going so definitely worth a visit.

Best pies in NSW. Worth every cent. Recommend the Thai Chicken Curry pie.

Cheff was so considerate for our dietry requirements. He made exclusive and delicious vegeterian burger for us with customised ingredients and a Smile. Highly recommended!!

If you're looking for a spot to warm up or cool down and get a great feed too, here's the spot to be! Conveniently located outside guest services, they make a great coffee however you choose to have it. The sausage rolls are the best hands down anywhere, fact. If you're there when they're making doughnuts then don't resist it's worth it.
