Rydges Hobart

Good hotel with spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Beds a tad bit soft for me but I didn’t have any back issues. Pillows good. Sheets changed after 3rd night - stayed 5 nights. Good bathroom with two sinks and a good walk in shower but a nightmare noisy fan.
We didn’t op for breakfast just bought some muesli, fruit and milk and had in the room as they supply bowls etc and a fridge plus a kettle and a microwave. Definitely recommend this hotel

What an amazing place to stay. The Rydges' team were wonderful - very helpful and obliging. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Our Manor King Room was very spacious and spotless. Heaps of on-site parking. Great location only a 20 min walk to the Hobart CBD.

Recently stayed at Rydges Hobart for two nights and was thoroughly impressed. The heritage building adds a unique charm with its rich history and its slightly out-of-town location makes for a quieter stay. Hosts were warm and welcoming and the onsite restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommend for a cozy and memorable stay.

Loved the history of the building! Situated in a convenient but quiet location, price is very decent for the quality, and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was so comfy it made it very difficult to get out haha - would definitely love to stay here again when in Tassie.

Beautiful place, can highly recommend Rydges Hobart. Staff go out of their way to ensure you are happy with everything and go out of their way to answer any questions about highlights of Hobart. Will stay here again!

I shouldn’t do this as demand will only drive up prices but I love staying here. My preferred Hobart hotel. Quality, room size, linen, service w a smile. Very good value.

Another very enjoyable stay - thank you to the lovely hard working staff, and the GM Brett - they always remember my name and recall our chats from previous stays. This is a heritage property and the renovation has made rooms feel bright and airy. House keeping are friendly and do a great job; my room was clean, and crisp linen on the perfectly made bed - mattress and pillows were excellent. The breakfast was a small buffet and was satisfying especially if you're not in a rush, enjoy the view. The hotel is easy to get to with plenty of onsite parking - I noticed some interesting new additions such as EV charging and Kinto car hire - photos attached - thank you Brett and team Rydges Hobart

Shared an early Xmas lunch with a lovely bunch of friends.
The meal was absolutely fabulous, extremely filling, and the staff were exceptional. A must to visit. We only had a lovely meal, so unable to comment on rooms, etc.

Great view from a building with a rich past! Make sure you ask about the history of the site. The breakfast is simple, but really, what else do you need before heading downtown to explore!

WOW absolutely amazing. We got married at Rydges and stayed 2 nights and Wanda and the team were incredible. I can't recommend Rydges high enough.

Love the room and the environment. I was at 41. The room has a small lounge area separated by the toilet. The sofa at this lounge area can be opened up to a double bed for a 3rd or 4th person. Besides the usual appliances of iron, board, hairdryer kettle, there was a microwave for heating food. The wall heater is very effective to warm the room. We were there during winter.

We have stayed at this wonderful location twice and it will continue to be our 'go to stay place' in Hobart. The building is beautiful with a wonderful sense of history, the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. All this for an amazing price. Look forward to our next visit.

Lovely friendly staff, only stayed two nights and received free drink from bar, great cheese platter and bottle of Storm Bay wine, have never received anything like that from any other place we’ve stayed! Really comfortable bed, and our room was serviced even tho it was only 2 night stay! Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend ..

Stayed three nights. If you want excellent customer service this is the place to be. I didn't get the names of all staff but they were all excellent. Bee, the receptionist was super helpful. Had the best ice cream with waffles at breakfast. Kids absolutely loved it.

It's an older building, so no lift but wasn't a problem for us as we had a ground floor room. Rooms are extra spacious which was a great plus with kids. Thank you for the experience Rydges Hobart, will visit again.

excellent budget friendly, luxurious hotel. its cute and quaint north of hobart, a solid walk to the cbd but very doable especially with a car. Rooms were clean, tidy and tasteful. friendly service and staff were extremely accomodating to any needs. the rooms are stocked with all your needs and refreshed daily. would definitely recommend!

I have stayed here before when I come to Tassie and Rydges never disappointments.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff a very friendly and down to earth. I had an issue where my room was not serviced, I rang the front desk and within moments, I had fresh towels, bowls, and cutlery. Thank you.

I love the charm of the place, an older building with modern touches.

The room was big (Superior King Suite), the bed was so comfortable (I even own one) and the pillows were amazing. One thing I will mention, is I am not a fan of adding two single beds together to make a king, I can understand why they do this but found the middle part annoying.

The view from the room was amazing and the air con worked perfectly.

I love the spacious shower/toilet area and the "Thank You" products used (shower gel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner).

I love the location, close to the city.

I love the free parking that is provided.

Next time I will try the restaurant out.

I would highly recommend staying here and I would stay again.
