Visited for an early dinner, great food, especially love the croquettes, pintxos and Mariscos paella! Portion was slightly smaller for the price tho, but lovely place!

If you want a taste of Spain come to Seabean Tapas Bar Restaurant and be invited in by the warm and friendly staff. The food, service and atmosphere were great. My wife and l came on a Sunday evening and sampled a selection of dishes which were amazingly delicious, from the Grilled pan de casa, Boquerones - Marinated White Anchovy fillets, Lamb Albondigas - Spanish meatballs with a garlic mint sauce, Mariscos - Seafood Paella and to finish Churros with chocolate all balanced with a carafe of Sangria(red wine). By the end of our meals we were absolutely full and quite content. Thank you to Matt, Sam and staff for making our last night in Port Douglas a very enjoyable one. The trip from Melbourne was worth it! I can understand why they have such a high Google Review Rating. "Saludos y Buena salud" Cheers and good health. 🥂

Firstly thank you to Ariana and Sam.. you were fabulous.
I had the most incredible dining experience at Sea Bean Restaurant in Port Douglas. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by their exceptional service and attention to detail. What truly stood out was their incredible accommodation of my food intolerances. As soon as I sat down, they presented me with a personalized menu that took my dietary restrictions into consideration. This level of thoughtfulness and preparation made me feel valued and cared for as a customer.

The dishes I ordered were not only delicious but also tailored to my specific needs. It's rare to find a restaurant that goes above and beyond to cater to dietary requirements without compromising on taste and quality. Sea Bean Restaurant managed to achieve this seamlessly. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.

I can't thank Sea Bean Restaurant enough for making my visit so memorable. Their dedication to providing exceptional service, combined with their consideration for food intolerances, sets them apart from the rest. Without a doubt, I'm giving Sea Bean Restaurant a well-deserved 5-star rating. If you're in Port Douglas and looking for a restaurant that truly cares about its customers, this is the place to go."

Can not rate this place highly enough.
Great service, amazing menu, a great, relaxed vibe. We sat outside, table of 4 and shared everything. Do fresh, so quick and a bunch of fun. Staff presented a birthday cake and sang like pro's!!!

PLEASE GET THE CROQUET!

Will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved the food here at Seabean, best meal by far we have had in Port Douglas. We totally would have eaten here again during our stay if we had the time. The garlic prawns are to die for.

Update from 2023 visit
This is our 12th visit to this place and Seabean is my personal favourite restaurant in Australia. It never disappoints.

These guys have retained the same crew over the years of our visits.

The food is the most consistent I've had anywhere and it's always on point.

The service is always friendly and prompt and never rushed.

We have never been turned away and always had an amazing experience.

The Catalina creme brulee in a coconut is an absolute must-have.

Will be back again and again in the future.

Great value for money also.

Well done Seabean team you are on top of my list.

Review from 2019
Seabean would have to be the best Spanish tapas we have had to date. The flavours were well balanced and the food was simple and delicious and not overdone.

The service was quick, friendly and attentive.

We had 6 tapas dishes between 2 of us because the food was that good.

Well done to Henry and his team of chefs and wait staff.

We absolutely loved our meal. Everything was perfection. The service was second to none and they were so accommodating! Topped off with good old fashioned table service, where the bill is brought to you.
If you are coming to Port Douglas - book early - this is well worth the effort! 10/10 will do again.

If you are in Port Douglas, please eat here. Amazing tapas food! Incredibly friendly service (especially since we booked the wrong day and they still squeezed us in - thank you Sam) our waitress Carmen was a delight and very helpful with her recommendations. Every dish was mouth watering and blew our minds. This place was highly recommended to us from locals and we can see why.

A great little bit of Spain in Port Douglas! A great menu and truly authentic Spanish cuisine using local ingredients. The croquetas are phenomenal and the Manchego with mandarin and Cointreau marmalade is really special. We also had the Barramundi ’brandade’ … delicious. Fabulous atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend Seabean. Be sure to book ahead as it is (understandably) very popular!

Excellent tapas and paella restaurant along the Esplanade. We actually came back the next evening as the tapas, especially the Salt Mackerel were so good- we had to come back. Do book your table weeks in advance as they are always booked out. We’ve seen multiple pairs of patrons without bookings expecting a table to miraculously appear - and giving the front of house a hard time when they’re booked out for the night. The friendly staff there aren’t working to be verbally abused. So please don’t do that. Otherwise, the have very limited walk in space on the bar.
I’d go back to Seabean should we be back in Port Douglas in future.

Excellent food and great service at this Spanish tapas restaurant. Make sure to book ahead to get a table.
Our favourites were the croquetas (chicken, jamón and corn today), potatas bravas, lamb albondigas and sauteed chorizo. Will definitely return next time we are in Port Douglas.

Absolutely stunning food and super friendly staff. We were so lucky to be given a stable without a booking. Would eat breakfast lunch and dinner here if it were possible. And gorgeous cocktails to finish! Will definitely make the trek back to Port Douglas, if only just for this food!!

An authentic tapas experience and good service. The crema Catalan in the coconut shell was divine. We hadn't booked but because we arrived just after opening a "walk-in" table was available. The early dinner turned out well as we enjoyed the sunset too. Book well ahead

Went here on a Wednesday night during our visit up to Port Douglas. The food was some of the best Spanish food we’ve ever had, the service was impeccable and the drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Make sure you book your table as it is very popular.... but you can see why! The food was amazing! We had a sangria jug, pinxhos and the large seafood paella and it was one of the best paellas we have ever had! We had some left over to take home with us which was a bonus! The staff were really great also! Would absolutely return!

Fabulous Spanish and Basque food!
We were struggling to find a table at a restaurant in Port Douglas and stumbled upon Seabean and they were able to fit us seated at the bar. It was a fun dining experience where we could chat to the bar staff and people watch around us.
After living in Spain many years ago, the tapas and sangria took me right back to Spain and I can vouch for its authenticity. Absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. Highlights were the croquetas, calamari, and also the chorizo dish. Everything was so tasty we were sad when it finished!

The BEST restaurant in port douglas (the mexican second) ¡Me gusta! The flavours, the atmosphere, the wait staff. Amazing. Everything is fresh and full of flavour and not overly sweet or salty. Daily specials that are amazing or pretty much everything on the menu is brilliant. The croquetas were delicious as well as the albondigas. Loved the mocktails too. Kids paella was a hit also!

One of our favourite throughout our stay in Port Douglas. We would recommend the fish tacos and the crema catalana served in half coconut. All the food we ordered was delicious and everyone was friendly.

We have been here twice and both times have been delicious. The tapas and paellas served here are excellent. You also get a view of the Port Douglas beach.
