Bakery Patisserie Schwarz: A Must-Try in the Blue Mountains

My recent visit had me drooling over the entire display case. In the end, I couldn't resist their carrot cake, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I can confidently say it's some of the best I've ever had. But judging by the long line out the door, it seems everything they bake is a winner.

From what I hear from other patrons, their Black Forest Cake and traditional German treats are legendary. They also offer pies, soups, and even goulash for those after a more savory bite. They clearly use high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes, resulting in a truly authentic taste experience.

If you're visiting the Blue Mountains, Bakery Patisserie Schwarz is a must stop. Whether you're a sweet tooth or after a delicious lunch, they have something to satisfy every craving. Just be prepared to wait in line, the secret's definitely out about this incredible bakery! I think they will get another award this year for sure.

📍 The place itself is very cute and they have both tables inside and outside. It's a nice place to have something sweet after a hike at the Blue Mountains.

Great coffee and a wide variety of great tasting treats. It is very popular so can get busy a times (because the food and coffee is so good). As a flat lander it is a great place to stop and refresh while traveling through the Upper Mountains.

A local loved bakery cafe right near the station. We came here to order a birthday cake to be picked up the next day and the staff were very friendly. There was a line already waiting all the way to the front door so we knew this place had to be good. Dining in during busy hours might not be the best idea as the seating is quite tightly squeezed and the people waiting in line really fills up the space inside. Ordered a few apple Danish and the hazelnut bread as a snack and they all tasted delicious. The fresh fruit tarts were heavenly, not too sweet and paired well with the custard tart. The Black Forest cake was nice however we felt the liquor was a tad bit strong and overpowered the taste of the cake itself making it a bit too bitter. Don't think the adults complained too much about it though!

Great coffee and awesome staff with genuinely friendly and efficient service. The bread is to die for and the wife is a massive fan of the cupcakes. The only downside is that the bloke who runs the joint is quite possibly the rudest, most obnoxious person I've ever encountered. I don't know how any of the awesome team can work under him and still be as happy and friendly as they are.

My favourite Cafe. Cosy, intimate and warm setting with the most delicious of pastries and hot drinks. The service from every team member is amazing. Every time I visit from Western Sydney, the Cafe is always buzzing with beautiful energy and people.

My friend and I came up here from the city for a holiday, everything from the service to the food were amazing. We got the scones and apple danish, I didn’t try the danish but the scone was so fresh and hands down the best scone I’ve ever had. The cream was fresh and fluffy, the cafe drinks were so good. Everything was perfect, the servers and cashiers were kind and attentive (and hella cute🫡)

I have to say this place is amazing. I come here Fridays mostly as they do a really nice fresh chocolate ganache. I myself can enjoy it for myself, but they are generally sized nicely for a family. Very kind service from genuinely nice people. Thanks guys!

Ordered a beef/potato and steak/red wine pie. Both were delicious, one of the best pies I've had. Highly recommend the Portuguese tart. The coffee was okay.

Excellent food, however prices differ between take away and not. Cute homemade jams and nice bread.

Our fave German cafe around Blue Mountain area. Must stop before our bush walk. All pastries and cakes remind us of traditional German recipes. They also sell variety of good quality breads. We usually order some to eat in and some for takeaway. staff are also very friendly. Highly recommended.

Great spot for pastries, brezels and breads, with good coffee too. A must visit when in the upper mountains. I recommend grabbing a few things and heading for a walk by the lake.

Love this little bakery try the cherry danish gorgeous and good coffee too! Be careful as once you try will be back again and again...

Busy little place. Great pies and amazing cakes. The custard tart was absolutely amazing and like no other custard tart I've ever had before.! 10/10

Walked in for a pie and came out with a chocolate eclair, poppyseed danish and French stick. Amazing array of breads (including pretzels) and treats. Treats are big so sharing size if you are willing. Definitely a regular stop on the way through Wentworth Falls in future. Tables inside and out too.

Today we ordered 2xcurry chicken pie and cappuccino with latte. The person who served us was super friendly and served us so nicely. The food was presented so well. Super tasty pie and such a beautiful place.
