Wyrd books is your one-stop destination for all books Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. The store is well stocked, priced well and nicely organised. They have a great collection of books from a variety of authors over a large time period. Heaps of affordable used books and also a huge number of collectible books.

In general, the stock is well rotated, and I've made multiple trips each month and found new gems every time.

It also helps that Wayne, the owner, is super friendly and great at providing recommendations and suggestions based on your interests.

a wyrd and wonderful place. i was directed over her by mary from good earth bookshop when i inquired if she had any ursula k le guin. harry here was so helpful to me & my friends! we all wished we had more time to spend but we had to hop on our train back to the coastal kingdom of sydney. nonetheless, i managed to spend $100 on some incredibly beautiful editions of ursula k le guin & a humble and hardy silmarillion paperback. looking forward to returning! happy 1st birthday as well :) x

The worker / owner was super helpful and friendly. Books are well priced and heaps of range including rare books! I was lucky to pick up 4 x game of thrones graphic novels for half their common retail price.

Great bookstore in the Blue Mountains. Really solid range of new and used scifi/fantasy and other amazing stuff. Will definitely be back for another visit.

This is the single best bookshop I’ve ever been to. There are tons of hardcover and paperback horror, sci-fi, and fantasy books here that would satisfy any collectors and casual readers alike. The owner is great and very helpful, not to mention how knowledgeable he is on many of the books in his shop. If you or anyone you know is into any of the genres mentioned above, THIS is the place to be.

Without a doubt, the very best sci-fi and fantasy book shop I have ever had the pleasure of entering. They had several books I would not have expected to see outside a private collection or an eBay auction. It was a titanic effort to not walk away with an armful of new literature; I had to settle for a couple of titles and a promise to return. The owner, Wayne, was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and was more than happy to show my partner and I some of the rarer, more expensive titles when we expressed out interest. Wyrdbooks earns my highest recommendation.
