Loved this little gem! Was beyond happy to find a totally gluten free cafe in Hobart and the food was just so good! The cornbread is amazing and will be heading back for another pretzel and donut for sure.

Straight Up Coffee and Food in Hobart is a vegetarian gem that has won our hearts. Back in 2019, when I called Hobart home, this was my go-to for the best beans in town. Returning this year was a joy as the cafe was just as exceptional. Their food is delicious, and the service radiates warmth and friendliness. And oh, the coffee - it's nothing short of spectacular. A must-visit for any Hobart trip!

A sign of a good place with consistently good food and service is when the staff know the names of regular customers, and they know exactly what strength and how the regulars like their milk, and how hot - Straightup have been making my hot chocolates EXACTLY how I like them, since the opened, and even when new staff join the team I am always surprised and impressed that they have been worded up on how to make my drinks!

The cutest little café with such friendly service! And 100% Gluten Free makes them a haven for coeliacs. Travel can be tough for us GF folk, but this place has me already planning my next visit to Hobart!!
Everything we tried was absolutely delicious - we got breakfast, lunch to takeaway and couldn't leave without stopping by for another coffee the following morning.

100% gluten free cafe. Went for brekkie and got sweet potato fritters with egg and a side of focaccia. Very tasty and the bread was crunchy but soft on the inside. Friendly staff and comfortable outdoor seating.
A must visit for any gluten free or vegetarian diners in Hobart.

Breakfast here is a success. Freshness of food and art in each elaboration. The atmosphere is very nice in a quiet and clean place. It's nice to be served by the staff, especially the girls, who don't stop smiling and are always attentive to each client. Good job!

A very nice gluten free cafe in Hobart. We came in for breakfast and loved it. We had the brioche roll and corn bread with egg and couldnt fault it. The waffles were very nice too.

What a delightful little cafe! They make their own almond milk and everything on their menu is gluten free, including breads and pastries. So impressed! The corn bread is delicious and so is the brekkie Burger. Not sure how they do the silky egg, but it tastes fantastic!

Had been meaning to go for a while and finally got there. Had a very nice coffee and brunch. I had the house made crumpet with mushrooms, walnut pâté, spinach, and crumbled feta (I added an egg) just so nice. Busy but service was attentive. Would go again and try other stuff. Menu was inspired

I wish I had discovered this place sooner on my trip home! Undoubtably the best plant-based menu in all of Hobart (I looked all over, but this wins hands down!). And 100% gf for me is an added bonus. The options for food are so original and delicious sounding- I took close to half an hour to decide! We opted for the chickpea pancake and the potato rosti - so we could each share. The presentation is top notch, serving size generous, and that makes value for money very very good. And on top of it all the staff are absolutely lovely and genuine. No sense of feeling rushed, or stressed, even though there were people waiting for tables in the rain! The coffee is also some of the best I’ve had in Hobart.

I've been to this spot twice. The coffee is great and the food is even better. You can easily grab a coffee and any of their freshly baked goods to go or you can dine in: let me tell you that you won’t be disappointed either way. This is A pleasantly non-pretentious restaurant offering creative vegetarian options full of flavor that are wonderfully presented.
