Oddfellows Bar & Eatery

Its been two and a half months since I was able to sit somewhere pleasant and have a nice glass of local Gamay. Oddfellows have done a great job of trading through the "Bug". It was nice to get in there and enjoy the atmosphere. Oddfellows is a uber modern bar and restaurant in the CBD of Hobart. The guys are lovely and know their stuff. Well worth a visit.

Had a beautiful meal with my wife at Oddfellows, Victoria Street, Hobart tonight. Going in to a new place without seeing a menu for us is a bit of a challenge due to Kate being pescatarian, but fussy. The first thing was that there was no fish on the menu, so we were a bit worried. This turned out not to be a problem. We had char grilled bread (the center was soft), standard hummus (not standard at all, a beautifully flavoured dish) and dolma for entree.

The main was chicken thigh on skewers for me accompanied by part of Kate's okra. I would have to say that normally I am not a big fan of okra but this was done with a beautiful tomato based sauce.

We also went the dessert option to stuff ourselves full with mandarin sesame labneh filo. Amazing!

Only 3 months into service and this lovely place is doing all the right things. Undecided, we were directed to a lavish, fresh and diverse mezze plate that easily satisfied 2 people. From the warm greeting to the extremely knowledgeable and happy to chat mixologist/sommelier (guy knows his stuff) to the well considered space, we were impressed, especially at the very modest price point.

Lovely atmosphere. Great selection of drinks and delicious sharing plates. Staff really welcoming and knowledgeable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Terrific uber contemporary small bar over delivering on local wines, great small plates and high quality spirits.

Sit and the bar for small groups and chat about straight Pinot Meunier or if you have friends, sit in the low slung compfy chairs and ingest copious amounts of booze

Light and friendly, delicious cocktails and fascinating and delicious looking menu.

Amazing food, great atmosphere!
We called and asked this place if a friend and I could come in and do some paper work as well as have brunch, this business was accommodating and I could not recommend them enough!

The food and the service in this place just wonderful

Mostly wonderful, comfortable seating excellent food (and drink) sometimes I find the music too loud for quiet conversation.
