When I came in here tonight and belly dance music was playing I wondered if I was in fact in Babylon. A well thought out venue full of atmosphere and mystique.

I was only having a peek tonight but in sure many a wild night will take place here in my future !

Very cool ambiance! Hanging gardens indeed! Food and bar place, and the food didn't disappoint. Pizza by pizza pizza was delicioso! Freshly fire baked

Cool vegetated vibes, warm fiery spaces, great tasting beers, unfotunately average pizzas. A wonderful use of inner city alleys and a real asset to the Tassie night-life scene... another dark themed spin-off from MONA... good job Walshy! Could see myself hanging here more often, just need to lift their pizza game and extend their Sunday hours.

Very cool atmosphere with various plants everywhere. The selection of food from the multiple kitchens was great as each member of our party could order what they wanted (pizza, nachos, chicken parmigiana, and many other options)

Some great cocktails, wine and beer available too 😁

Service was fast and professional.

It was a rainy day in Hobart and we were just wandering around the city. We stumbled upon this super cool cafe. It's got such a spacious vibe with a ground floor and an upper level. We decided to go upstairs near the fireplace and ordered two glasses of red wine. I'd definitely go back to try their food. It looked absolutely delicious! Plus, it could also be a perfect spot for hanging out with a big group.

Great place to take family and friends. So many different cuisines done well. Great vibe. Staff know their food and beverages well, your in good hands. Definitely worth a visit. Be careful you'll become a regular!

The best coffee sans Two Folk Espresso Cafe. A visual feast by day, a spectacular vista by night. Place is HUGE and contemporary, complete with bell tower & fire pit. Evening lights are spectacular, DJ, cocktails, smoking area, 8’ heaters everywhere but it’s cold in Winter being open planned over split levels.Fantastic with a bevy of friends.

Hosted a corporate event for a function. Emily was wonderful to deal with through the whole process and very accommodating. We had nothing but wonderful feedback from our guests on the food and service. Atmosphere and space was perfect for our networking event of 100pax. Thanks to the In The Hanging Garden Team!

In The Hanging Garden is like a food court with an excellent bar like atmosphere. The food choices are all amazing and with a bar on both levels it is an fantastic place to have a nice drink with friends. Late on a Saturday night there is music on the lower level to create a club like atmosphere, so there is something for everyone here.

Loved it. The concept is like having a few food trucks all together in an open space. The surroundings are just beautiful and well worth a visit. Mexican, Italian, Korean etc to keep everyone happy

Dropped in for a wood fired pizza — delicious and enjoyed the Fresh air setting.

Fun spot in the middle of Hobart. Quiet drinks during the day or stay on for a big night. A hidden gem!

Great concept with small bars and food offerings throughout. The open space area is great to enjoy a few drinks and small bites, with comfortable seating. Good cocktails from the various vendors and plenty of beer offerings at the bar. It was quite cool on the day we were there, so nice they had the heaters on. Great way to spend an afternoon.

Stumbled upon this place from the street as it looked so inviting. A beautiful beer (and cocktail) garden offering food as well. I had the vegan funghi pizza which was delicious. A super cozy place if you need a refresher while out in Hobart center.

Awesome ! We found In The Hanging Garden online while researching places to eat while in Hobart- we were not disappointed!! The tacos are amazing, atmosphere like no other and just a chill place to hang out and have drinks with friends and family while having awesome street foods. Highly recommend- wish we had a place like this in Brisbane !!

Great places to choose from to eat while here, I went Mexican and the nachos were delicious massive portion! Friend had pizza which she ate all of so must have been good and apparently the Korean chicken was amazimg too!

They have three hospitality areas on-site. On the main level (Murray Street entrance) there is both a food and drink counter (menu as shown in the above pictures) as well as another counter serving hot drinks. This area is partially sheltered with tables, seating and many plants.

Downstairs (aka 'The Cathedral') there is the third hospitality area serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. This area is fully sheltered and has even more plants, plus more tables and seating. There is also a stage here as this area doubles as an event space. Accessible entry to this downstairs area is via an alleyway near 153 Liverpool St, Hobart TAS 7000.
