We had the most fantastic time and were blown away by all of the inclusions. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as enjoyable and smooth as it could be. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-equipped. We took full advantage of Happy Hour by the pool each day. Location was perfect, within walking distance of Four Mile Beach, restaurants and shops. The hotel also provided us with beach umbrellas and beach chairs, which was an added bonus. Looking forward to returning again!

Loved our two night stay at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel! Craig was so kind and helpful when I called in to inquire about our late check in. The breakfast at Hi Tide was delicious and something we looked forward to in the mornings. We had a nice view of the pool which we unfortunately did not have time to use. We woke up to the beautiful sounds of the birds each morning. Walked right outside to watch the sunrise from the beach. Free parking if you have a car. They also had a washer/dryer available to use with detergent for guests. Our room was spacious with a living area, kitchenette, and patio. The bed was also very comfortable! We wish we could have stayed longer!

We've stayed at some very nice places over the many years, and I will have to say that the Peninsula Boutique Hotel rates at the very top! If I could give a better review that 5/5, I certainly would! I cannot think of a single negative, but the positives were numerous!

The hotel staff were great, they were very friendly and very helpful when needed. Our 2nd floor room overlooked the beach, on the morning after our first night, we watched the sunrise from our private balcony, the view was incredible! The proximity to an excellent restaurant in the Hi Tide was a huge plus, though we only ate breakfast (3 times), the food and service was great! The hotel location with its tropical fragrances and the sounds birds were beyond description! The shoppes and restaurants on Macrossan St are a short 2 minute drive.

We had a very wonderful stay, to say the least!

EDITED: I don't know how my review became a 4.7 out of 5, but it really should be a 5 of 5!

Big shoutout to the team at Pensinula Boutique Hotel for helping arrange our return trip to the airport when heavy rains closed all the roads back to Cairns. With the waters receding, the GM Craig drove us and another couple to Cairns on his day off to help us get home - well and truly above what's expected.

This experience topped off a fantastic experience at the Peninsula Boutique. The location is brilliant, right on the beach at the end of the main street in town. Everything is within a short walk, and the swimming enclosure is just across the road.

We were drawn to the adults only nature of the hotel, and were left very happy with the facilities, the breakfast and the overall experience.

We'll definitely stay here again, rain closed off access to the Daintree Rainforest so there's unfinished business for us up in Port Douglas!

Lovely hotel, we had a suite with direct access to the beach. Good breakfast menu and very servicing staff. Good parking for big SUV's. The Hi Tide is a very nice open terrace restaurant for brekkie, lunch or dinner. Close to main street with all the shops on walking distance.

We just stayed for a week and enjoyed it thoroughly. Great location with everything within walking distance. Watching the sun rising over the beach from our balcony every morning was pretty special too.
Rooms were comfortable and bathroom nice. The on-site restaurant is wonderful too, we tried them for breakfast, lunch and dinner just to be sure.
The staff were all lovely and friendly too, they made us feel really welcome. Will definitely stay here when we come back again.

This hotel is fantastic and the staff are amazing. If I could give 10 stars I would. I really enjoyed my stay here. Craig, the Manager, Deanna at Reception and the restaurant team, including Ami, Elina and Natasha were wonderful. I loved the beautiful breakfasts and coffee that was provided each morning (what a fantastic view too, overlooking Four Mile Beach). I had some lovely dinners at Hi Tide restaurant during my stay. I never met any of the Housekeeping staff but my room was immaculately clean every afternoon. The room was lovely and had everything needed for a great stay including a well-equipped kitchenette. I enjoyed the massive bath tub and the wonderful views from the balcony. I loved the uniqueness and tranquility of the kid-free pool. It was a perfect temperature both day and night ( I stayed at the end of May).

Craig and Deanna provided me with great recommendations for transfers and booked my transfers from Cairns to Port Douglas and return. Craig recommended a great company for snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. I had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the Reef.

Craig, the Manager truly went “above and beyond” for me in what turned out to be a medical emergency on my last day at the hotel. I became ill the night prior to check out. I called Reception that morning and spoke with Deanna, who called an ambulance for me and advised Craig of my situation. Both Deanna and Craig were so kind and caring in my time of need. My friends had gone home early that morning so I was alone. I was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. When it was time for me to be discharged, there were no transport options available so Craig offered to pick me up and bring me back to Port Douglas. I was truly surprised at such a kind offer of support.

I have never experienced such friendly, kind and caring service from anyone in a hotel before coming to stay at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel. I was blown away at the level of support and kindness Craig had shown to me. Even before I experienced the medical emergency, the level of service I received was outstanding in every way. I absolutely loved the hotel and I am very hopeful that I can come back one day. If anyone asks me where they should stay in Port Douglas, I will be highly recommending the Peninsula without a doubt.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it continues to be a lovely place to stay. The breakfast area is much nicer now it is opposite the beach. Breakfast selections are good. Would like to see a streaming service on the tv as free to air is limited. Breakfast waitresses are delightful. A lovely relaxing place. Look forward to staying there again next year. Diane

Excellent location right on the beach, magnificent views and relaxing sea breezes on the balcony.
Close to all good restaurants and walking distance to Macrossan Street.
Fantastic cooked breakfast and friendly staff.
The place is looking a bit dated, but if you want to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with no kids making noise (except in the restaurant occasionally😢), then this is the place!

My husband and I stayed 2 weeks+ at this hotel and the staffs in this were so sweet to us. My husband said that he wanted to stay longer when the flight's the next day. We recommend this perfect place for those who want to spend quality time, stress-free. The hotel and the restaurant were so nice, the staffs were so friendly and always happy vibe. They inspired us how to be more cheerful. Again, thank you for the receptionists, ladies in the breakfast and diner, chefs for the delicious food.
Thank you, Peninsula and Hi Tide ❤

My fiancé and I had a fantastic stay at the Peninsula. The hotel had everything we were looking for - close to the beach, close to town, nice pool, great service and clean, lovely rooms.

It was amazing to call up in the morning to order room service for breakfast overlooking the beach, then stroll across the road to swim and relax. The staff were super friendly and always happy to chat and assist wherever they could.

We will both be going on and on about this hotel to everyone we know for quite a while 😂

Thanks Peninsula 😊

What a place to stay!

Came here with my wife on our honeymoon and could not fault them!

They gave us a complementary bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon.

The rooms were immaculately clean, and the daily room service staff are wonderful & friendly and go above and beyond!

The king sized beds were comfortable and fresh bed linen was great!

The morning breakfast was quite good too. However, it would have been nice to see some more pastry options, full sized croissants (not cut up ones) and deli meat options- however I know it’s hard as it’s outside in the humidity.

The only other letdown was the kitchen in the apartment. I understand most couples would dine out, however my wife and I love cooking together and found this to be extremely challenging and ended up purchasing a chopping board. We found the knives to be extremely blunt and there to be a lack of food storage space, especially in the fridges (I also understand this is hard to navigate as limited apartment space).

Overall was a extremely pleasant and relaxing stay, and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Location 10. Right by the beach, moments from shops and resteraunts

Staff 10. Everyone made us feel super welcome

Breakfast 10. Having a full Cafe style breakfast and coffee of a morning is great!

Rooms and facilities 8. They are feeling a bit outdated, but everything was clean and functional. Still a great place to be and relax!

Peninsula is one of the best locations in Port Douglas. If you want a holiday right on the beach where you can walk everywhere, this is your place. Quiet but literally steps from everything.
Lovely breakfast. Comfortable room.

Nice and fast check-in. The receptionist was great, he was very helpful and a nice guy.

We stayed there for 5 days, our room was big, bed is comfy, private kitchen, small balcony but can open the door to enjoy the sea air.
We had a great holiday there.
Highly recommend 👌

Nice little hotel. No kids, if you want a relaxing place without the constant patter and noise that accompanies them then is it your kind of place. The noisiest thing here is the birds. Nice balcony in the room we were in. Great little kitchenette if you want to be independent, restaurant and bar serve great food and cocktails. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, large tub in the bathroom, great for a soak. Onsite complementary laundry (self wash) was a brilliant perk. Literally a 1 min walk 4 mile beach. I highly recommend.

It was so close to the beach literally across the road.

The team were always friendly and nothing was a problem when I asked for anything.

The in-house restaurant was awesome. Best breakfast options included in the price and the food for dinner was very tasty and reasonably priced. I tried almost every main during my stay.

The team in the restaurant were very attentive and super friendly.

The room was really comfortable including the bed and pillows. I had the best sleeps.

Overall it was a great delight to stay here and I will go there again for sure.

Thanks team Peninsula 😊❤
