Harrington's 102

Excellent value for money. Stay here if you are walking the Overland Track! They stored our clean gear while we did the walk. Great room, great location and great tandoori restaurant over the road. we had the family room on the first floor, budget brilliant? Derek was great! We are 1 guy and 3 teenage boys, so we're looking for somewhere clean, cheap and comfortable.

I will point out the rooms are a little small, and the stairs might be a bit of a challenge for some and there's no elevator. If you are unable to climb stairs, or are used to hotel rooms the size of a house, this might not be the hotel for you. But in my case, stairs aren't an issue and I'm mainly using the hotel as a place to shower and sleep. If you're just looking for a simple hotel to sleep and are doing so on a budget, this hotel is one to consider, as a simple budget hotel it does that quite nicely. The owner is also really quite outgoing and friendly.

Fair price for the central location, close to Salamanca markets (5min walk) and close to car rentals where we picked up and continued our trip the next day.

The rooms are basic, smallish, but you know its a good price and it’s not a fancy hotel so you manage. The bathroom was clean and no issues for us there.

No lifts, FYI if that’s something you need.

Beds were comfortable and the tv worked, so I have no complaints as I got a decent price for it.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Harrington's 102, and we can only say positive things about our room and the staff. Our room had an extremely comfortable bed, a nice tv and a.c., and the room itself was clean and well maintained. The staff was great, and the owner went above and beyond by allowing me to use his phone to find a missing passport, receiving a call that the passport had been found, and then drawing us a map so we would know exactly where to pick it up. Thank you again for the great experience on our first night in Tasmania!

My stay was only half a day as I was flying but very friendly and helpful staff at reception helped me with urgent needs and room was cozy very clean comfy bed and all the necessities are available . Thanks

Had a great time here and Derek the manager was always accommodating and helpful. Also an amazing Japanese Ramen restaurant attached.
