The Lodge on Elizabeth

It was a lovely stay at the lodge on Elizabeth. Jeff, the owner showed me the lobby, the garden area and room very kindly. He is amazing! When I checked out, he also recommended a market in the town centre. The room is elegant and cozy. Very homely property.

Me and my 2 friends arrived at night at Hobart and Jeff, owner or person in charge or the hotel, received us after hours and had been lovely. Prepared the room for us at the last minute and we felt super confortables.
The hotel itself is just what you need to stay close to town, complementary coffee, tea and cookies.

Loved every aspect: value for money, location, charm, cleanliness, and very obliging and friendly hosts. Also appreciated the attention to detail, e.g. 2 stands (?) to put cases on, and a make-up removal face washer. Never found that before in a hotel! Nice thoughtful touch. Don't change a thing, Jeff and Julie.

Everything was perfect and just like the pictures. Geoff (hopefully I'm spelling that right) was always helpful and friendly. I only have one bugbear: the communal port wine in the main room is alcohol free. I found out the hard way. There should be a disclaimer about that 😾😝

We really much enjoyed our stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth Street. We will very positively remember the nice location of the hotel (nice footwalk to the Centre) and the exceptionally friendly host. Definitely recommend!

The Lodge on Elizabeth is my go to accommodation twice a year in Hobart. Old world charm and hospitality as you would expect from the lovely relaxed people of Tasmania. The rooms are warm and the beds comfortable. I always look forward to returning. Don't change a thing Jeff and Julie. Thank you.

Lovely homely property with a common lounge for coffee or nightcaps... the hosts are so accommodating and made the stay more enjoyable

The lodge is outstanding beautiful , location is great and bedroom is comfortable. Living room for gathering is so nice with coffee, tea, cookies 24 hrs. Warm decoration and fireplace. Jeff ,the host is AWESOME, helpful, gracious made us feel at home. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend.

We will stay here again! Central to all you want to do in Hobart, but not too close to the city centre. Old building is in excellent condition, very comfortable and well furnished. Host Jeff is attentive and helpful, provided assistance with free parking and advice on restaurants and getting a cab.

Very comfortable stay in a beautiful historic building. The owner and manager, Jeff is wonderfully accommodating and always available to assist with information and travel tips. Perfectly located right near lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants and a 10 minute walk into the heart of the city. A lovely base for a stay in beautiful Hobart.

This is one of the best places to stay in Hobart. Jeff, the owner of the property will make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Tiniest need of yours is already thought out and is met. Close proximity to the city and nice restaurants is a bonus. Overall our stay here was completely enjoyable and memorable. We are always staying here when in Hobart. 💕

This is the best Tasmanian experience you can ever have! Very safe very respectful and very comfortable. We loved staying here and were very impressed by the hosts hospitality. 10 start experience ♥😊 Very nearby to restaurants and city as well.

Great historic lodge. The building is almost 200 years old but has been refurbished. Classic B and B feel, though the breakfast is extra. Oozes history, and close to some great restaurants. Wonderful owner with lots of helpful information

The Lodge on Elizabeth is a fantastic find in Hobart and we will definitely be back! Location is fantastic: easy walking distance to the CBD, waterfront and north Hobart. The hotel itself is beautiful and every detail has been attended to with care. Excellent service and lovely hosts.

Awesome family vibe well appointed hotel, great spa bath to have a soak after a day hiking! So warm, comfortable and cosy! Ill definitely stay again next time I’m in Hobart!

Our stay at The Lodge was amazing. The owners Jeff and Julie made us feel so welcome. Great facilities, clean and pretty rooms. An amazing balcony and courtyard, that all guest can enjoy and lounge in the sun. 15min walk from the Salamanca markets and 50m walk to the restuarant strip of tendy Elizabeth St. In the evening enjoy a snifter of port in The Lodges comfortable lounge. Best place to stay in Hobart! Thank you Jeff and Julie for your fantastic hospitality.

Spent 3 wonderful nights in Hobart at the Lodge on Elizabeth. Jeff looked after us superbly and we were very impressed by our spacious and well kept room! Within walking distance from many of Hobart’s tourist destinations and restaurants. Loved every minute of our stay and we’ll be back again!

Beautiful historic building that's the perfect setting as a base of operations for a visit to Hobart. Starting with a very warm welcome and invitation to relax in the lounge with a complimentary port. Room was the perfect size, cosy and warm despite the cooler temperatures of a Hobart winter. There was a great spread for a continental breakfast and you really felt like a welcome guest in a house rather than just a customer. I highly recommend this place to those wanting a more congenial experience than just staying in a hotel.

Lovely old worldy place to stay. Furnished beautifully in huge old home. Excellent continental breakfast. Close to city and North Hobart restaurants, easily walkable. Excellent hosting by Jeff and Julie. Highly recommended.

Little lodge in Hobart city run by Jeff and Jill. Jeff is super welcoming and friendly. Tea, coffee and port wine in the lounge with lovely relaxing music. Convenient laundry facilities. Would stay here again for sure!
